Yes Lavia is a big loss. Nkunku has been underwhelming for me and those that do like him always say he is not a number 9. I think it;s fair to say Maresca didn't have a great game today, That is not to denigrate the excellent work he has done thus far. It might have been worth throwing Guiu for Jackson when we clearly lacked intensity ,bring Unkunku on for Sancho, switch Neto and let Cole drift along on the right. Then get Caicedo and Enzo closer to try and exert some control. All said with hindsight but it was obvious to eceryone watching that we had no control over the game.

My 60th birthday today. I'm only a young lad compared to @WeatherMan 😀. My family got me Chelsea v Liverpool tickets - what a prressie. Traditionally we do well on 26th December so here's hoping for a presesnt from Maresca and the lads.

Dyche laid down a blueprint in how to stop us. Strange from the team with the ball bouncing off them half the time. A clean sheet is something and Tosin did well. Sanchez had a go at opening them up but a bad day for Palmer. Sancho being kept on for 90 minutes is odd from Maresca who might have been better served giving Felix a vote of confidence. Hopefully a return to winning ways on Boxing Day (Stephen's Day in Ireland), my 60th birthday.

Interesting game. Sanchez 4/10, Cucurella 10/10, everone else 7/10. Clearly the plan was to whip in crosses. There was little evidence it would work - until it did. We are factually a young team, anecdotally an inexperienced flaky team, but evidentially a group of players who have been goiven a plan, believe in the plan, and capable of executing it. These are exciting times.
