  1. Ball bouncing off Noni. Come on son, you're better than that.
  2. Oh Dear! Sanchez dcides to introduice himself to the match. Queue jitters from the defence.
  3. After a lot of guff you gotta love the last line: "So, Barcelona must look elsewhere for a new midfielder, with the 23-year-old Argentine international not going anywhere.*
  4. Your favourite. It must have been a massive game at the time. I know a lot of Chelsea fans my age who support the club because of that match (living in Ireland means we just choose a club - not based on geography). I also know a lot of Leeds fans whose psychological make-up means they supported the losers!
  5. Today is why I love football. Watched the game with my brother and my Godson, @Will M - all Chels. Noticed that the barman was Chels too. Had a chat with him and it turns out he, like me, was born in 1964 and started supporting the Blues after the 1970 FA Cup final, just like me. I watched that game with my Dad. After the game today - hugs all round. Excellent family time enoying a shared bond. To top it all Cole Palmer's audacious finish. A young man who plays on the biggest stage like he's in the street with his mates. After the final in 1970 I was straight out to the back garden with a voice in my head as I bashed the ball between the jumpers " Osgood shoots, Osgood scooooores" Tonight there are countless little Cole Palmers dribbling around the sofa. We've got our Chelsea back.
  6. Evidence of impending doom is present in the whispyness on the right side of the forehead.
  7. Would have been easy to field a largely unchanged side, so to make 7 changes is very brave. He set himself up for a fall when there was no imperative. For it to pay off is hugely impressive. He has the players very hungry - you can see they all want to be involved. Calling out Noni publically is a tribute to how highly he rates his potential but is a tactic I hope he doesn't overuse.
  8. A pronunciation video by a guy who can't pronounce "pronunciation". It's Kwee'veen, with equal stress on each syllable.
  9. 60 in 2 weeks time. I would have taken that if offered it 40 years ago during my "lost weekend". By the way, my brothers and I will be at the Rovers game - in the Rovers end!
  10. Felix man of the match for me. Underwhelmed by Nkunku. I'm off now to count my few remaining hairs.
  11. Saw him in the stands. Remarkably the hair is exactly the same colour. He must have shares in the company.
  12. My Dad was obsessed by combovers. "Ribs" he called them. Bobby Ribs Charlton, Nobby Ribs Styles, and my favourite, Ralph Ribs Coates.
  13. It's like ten pin bowling in the box. Atishoo atishoo
  14. Even though he's Chels you would want to pull his hair. I'm on Stephen's side.
  15. Purring goping forward. Felix is lovely to watch
  16. Finally a cheap goal. That's the icing on the cake.
