Mateo Kovačić
Nah he’s been really good. City fans singing his praises calling him bargain of the season. Probably would not have been as good at Chelsea as they are a total mess right now.

Mateo Kovačić
Kovacic has been excellent for City so far to nobody’s surprise.

Mateo Kovačić
After the fa cup loss to city in which Kovacic played a really good game Pep talked to Kova after the game. Kova was asked what he and Pep talked about he said pep congratulated him on a good game. Might mean nothing who knows but I’m in agreement with you that Kova woukd definitely fit into Peps system. Kova is great technically has a motor can press and is great under pressure. Sure he has faults we all know what they are .Tuchel was a big Kova fan. Until he got hurt Kova have his best season under Tuchel. I know Chelsea was talking to Kova about an extension before the World Cup but I think that ship has sailed and he will probably sold in the summer.

Kova usually plays hard for both club and country. Kova was playing under injection in the World Cup as his knee has been bothering him all season. He might have messes up his knee worse. As far as him playing injured well national pride is very high in Croatia.

Joško Gvardiol
Croatia has produced some pretty good center backs but nobody close to this kid. He plays like he’s in his prime already. He made so many key interventions against Belgium then carry’s the ball forward like a attacking mid.

Mateo Kovačić
After playing a great game against Canada he’s not going to rested. Gvardiol was also superb as I don’t think he will be in Leipzig much longer. Still rumors Chelsea want him

Potter confirmed Kovacic has been playing through a knee injury all season hence why they have also monitored his minutes.

Dinamo Zagreb v Chelsea (CL) Tues 6th Sep 2022 17:45 GMT
I warned you guys this would not be an easy game. Dinamo has been playing well and there best players are in good form. Chelsea has not been playing well all season except for the Spurs game.

Dinamo Zagreb v Chelsea (CL) Tues 6th Sep 2022 17:45 GMT
19 year old attacking mid Baturina will go for big money probably next summer. Dinamo is in form right now and Chelsea is not. Would not surprise me if Dinamo get a good result in this game.

Random Rumours
Ye Perisic definitely going to start for Spurs. Would have been a luxury here with Chilwell coming back from injury. The Croatian I would target is Gvardiol but I keep reading Redbull will be difficult to deal with as they don’t want to sell him.
-
Random Rumours
Perisic is still playing at a high level at 33. He’s been playing LWB the last 2 seasons. He’s been superb this season for inter. Inter bought Goosens to take his job and he couldn’t. His fitness and work rate are still great though.I would not be surprised if he starts as he’s one of the best two footed players in football still.

Mateo Kovačić
He’s very lucky his leg was not broken. I got flashbacks of Eduardo when his leg was broken.

Thought Kovacic had a very good game. Had a couple of his trade mark runs in midfield hardly lost the ball and assisted on Werner goal with a nice through ball.

Unlucky break what can you do but it was handball.

Real Madrd (3) v Chelsea (1) (CL Q/F 2nd Leg) Tues 12th Apr 2022 20:00 GMT
Chelsea dominated this game unfortunately a mistake by Kante and then what can you say an unbelievable pass by Modric to give them life. Chelsea did look gassed in the extra time
-
Mateo Kovačić
Ye very surprised he did not start. Also playing against his ex team and his idol would have been a little extra motivation for Kova.
-
Mateo Kovačić
Yep bad turnover there tried to squeeze a pass to Kante under tremendous pressure. Should have just hoofed up field. That press though is relentless.
-
Mateo Kovačić
Again your proving my point. I already told you he’s the best attacking midfield player in the world just like Kante is one of the best central midfield players in the world. Mount is Chelsea best attacking midfield player and De Bruyne is easily a class above him. You wanna say Kovacic was poor today that’s fair but so was the whole Chelsea team.
-
Mateo Kovačić
City press is just relentless. Only similar I can think of is when Pep was at Barcelona. Lukaku missed a great chance but him not being able to hold the ball up at all was a killer. He lost every duel to La Porte and Stones. That can’t happen.
-
Mateo Kovačić
You can say that so was all of the Chelsea team. City is simply better. Your comparison holds no water as they play different positions. De Bruyne is the best attacking midfielder in the world and it’s not close.
-
Mateo Kovačić
Kovacic is a central mid while De Bruyne is an attacking mid. Kovacic worked his socks off today and set up the best chance of the game. Had a couple bad turnovers and won quite a few balls in midfield.

Man City v Chelsea (PL) Sat 15th Jan 2022 12:30 GMT
City is simply to good. The moment of the match was when Lukaku didn’t finish his one on one chance.
-
Mateo Kovačić
Kovacic has finally taken that step in my eyes to becoming one of the best midfielders in the world. Even though he’s been injured he could still have about 10 assists this season. He’s been been so much better in the final third which was alway held him back from being a top player. I believe he has also matured and taken more of a leadership as now he has captained Chelsea for the first time all be it a cup game. Even though he scored that unbelievable goal shooting will always be his main weakness.
-
Mateo Kovačić
Kovacic is probably the closest player to Modric and is still a class below. There may have been more talented players from the ex Yugoslavia but nobody will ever achieve what Luka has. Besides everything he has won individually for club and country he almost never plays a bad game at 36 years old. Just amazing! I read Luka’s book. Chelsea desperately tried to buy him from Spurs but Levy would never sell. Luka wanted to go to Chelsea. What could have been who knows.

The ball to Barkley was more of what we want to see from Kovacic
