It should be illegal to play at 7.45pm on a Wednesday In Europe and then 12.30 pm on Saturday. I dont have an issue with the 12.30 kickoff but that should be given to teams on play on tuesday night and not teams that play on Wednesday night

Now you're just being reasonable and considerate, how dare you!

Midweek Wednesday or Tuesday game, early Saturday or later Sunday or playing on the moon does not make a difference here.

It is not City, or Liverpool, or even Brentford. It is Norwich, they are garbage and we are playing at home.

Even if Anthony Taylor is the ref we should be thrashing them or there is something seriously wrong with our players attitudes.

Agree @axman2526

"No easy games in the PL..............etc etc"

but they shouldn't come any less difficult than this one and no Billy G for the Canaries.

Expect another clean sheet and a few goals in the + column.

Can you please go back to your predictions of us getting thrashed? I don’t like it when you come on here all optimistic, it makes me nervous

A positive outlook for a game in a sea of negative ones... Not sure what are you trying to accomplish here mister axman...

Let's see when did I last feel confident we would win and win well...hmm Arsenal away this season. That turned out alright...

Time before that was...WBA at home last season....ahhh....

Just actually feel confident in us to play a good game and scored a few goals, as I do tomorrow. Now admittedly most of the time the team decide to show up like they have had an all night lock in at the dog and duck most of the time when I do feel so... so maybe you all best predict a Norwich win or draw in Zetas thread.

Telling you all now I am either picking 4-0 or 5-0 in that one, depending on how good we look tomorrow, Werner first scorer. Heard it hear first.

Another early kick off... the players better wake up on time and beat this lot!

Not a chance....they will still be wiping the sleep from their eyes when Norwich smash the ball in the back of the net.   Then we might wake up.  Hate these Sat early kick off's against a team that has been focusing their training on beating us all week, whereas we only have a couple of days.  I think TT will rest a few players.

Unless we once again help out the team that needs a whole lot of help... I agree though, should be all easy wins all the way till we play Leicester, Juventus, Man United.

Well then I cannot pick Werner for the weekend. That sucks.

Juve has the luck of Liverpool. Shesh we needed Zenit to hold on to that point as we need to top our group or we will get Bayern or PSG in the knockouts. Really aggravating how easy we made it for a crap Juve side to beat us.

Anways does not matter who we pick up front, and any other factor you want to through in, we should be thrashing Norwich and we will if we turn up with the same attitude as today.

So then no Lukaku, no Werner, no Pulisic and hopefully no Ziyech.

Front 3 is all we have left then, unless we decided to go with Alonso up top.

Mendy

Chalobah

Christensen

Rudiger

James

Kante

RLC

Chilwell

Mount

Havertz

CHO

Last week without two defenders, this week without 2 strikers, expect a tougher that expected game.  At this stage, I'm going for a nervous 2:0 since Mount is back, and it's Norwich we are dealing with.

Nothing against Lukaku but i prefer our more fluid and dynamic attack without him. We are too predictable with a Focal point especially a focal point that rarely makes off the ball runs and hardly presses the defenders. ( That was something i appeciated in Diego Costa). I really wish Pulisic was healthy but if CHO doesn't take his chance now with the opening in attack then he never will.

                               Mendy

         Christensen    Silva       Rudiger

James      Kovacic         Jorginho        Chilwell

        Mount          Havertz         CHO

Is sort of ironic though that he is out for now, during a period against sides we dropped points in last season. Part of the reason we bought him was to finish the chances we wasted and cost us games against the likes of Wolves and West Brom.

Lets see how we do against Norwich, Saints, Newcastle and Burnley without him. Have Havertz et al improved and can be more clinical? 1 out of 3 for Havertz yesterday.

I think Havertz will take this opportunity false 9 is by far the best he's ever looked in a Chelsea shirt, Mount looks to be back at his best and CHO looks good playing in his actual position.

Say what you want about our attackers struggling to score but, at least we have tons of them how many teams in the world could cope with Lukaku, Werner and Pulisic all out at the same time whether you rate these players or not there's no denying they are valuable assets to any club.

Yet we still have Mount, Havertz, CHO and Ziyech as forwards/AMS add in Ruben and Ross and it looks like we should be able to cope.

I would just rest T.Silva here, give Chalobah or Sarr an extra experience point. Save T.Silva for the Leicester, Juve, ManU games.

Early kick off normally means a lackluster performance.

anyway

the team I would pick

mendy

chalobah christensen rudiger

azbi kante jorginho chillwell

Mount havertz CHO

I was thinking the same but if he is rested on Saturday then he will definitely start against Southampton in the league cup and we all know how I feel about that competition

I' hoping for RLC and James to start for the extra attacking threat. They are there for the taking, if we play with intensity and speed, we should finish them off via half time. Early kick off is never ideal, but can't be an excuse since we are playing against the 2 bottom teams in the competition this week.

RLC can play further forward - he played off the left for Palace & Conte liked to use him as a false 9/10 sometimes.
