Every time the result is not a win forum goes into meltdown. We played sh.., everything is sh..., players are sh..., coach is sh... The game against Barnsley was awful even though we won it. Game against Sheffield United was close to awful even though we won it. This one was far from awful in my opinion. We controlled it but haven't created just enough up front to win it.
Yes, many individual players had on and off moments today. Southampton are not pushovers regardless of their recent results and they put all their players against the ball pressing us well.
Yes we spent a lot but this season would always be a transition season.
I'm disappointed with the result as everyone else and our players up front need to do much better. TT hasn't been here that long to do miracles and we cannot beat every team in every game just yet. I see improvements how we play, but we are not close to top teams just yet. Maybe next season with some additions to the team.
Which game do you think was much better in terms of team performance regardless of the result that this one?

Easy to knock the manager, our current or previous, but the players are 90% to blame. Being paid a fortune to play football once or twice a week, there attitude f**king stinks. Today apart from Kante and in parts Mount, what the f**k was up with the rest of them. The back line with out 37yrs old Silva at best are crap. Up front our home grown Abraham lauded by so many, overall is basically bang average. Pitiful. When we come up against a decent team we'll get f**king hammered, and deservedly so. Why does the manager always wear the blame? Can't a PROFESSIONAL footballer player adapt for f**k sake. Really pissed of with football lately.

0-0 with 98% possession

I hope your right too, cause although I want us to win leagues & trophy’s , I mostly want to watch my team play decent football ?

ChelseaThailand got a reaction from Paddy in Chelsea v Wolves (PL) Wed 27th Jan 2021 18:00 GMTFair enough, but I will politely disagree, and I hope I am right because if I am, will be good for the club and the kid.

I think I was very clear that he wasn’t responsible for his fee, it may not be fair but what a player costs does influence our expectation of him, but ultimately the story gets told in the playing of football.
I said earlier, there is a football scout in us all, when we watch we form an opinion of a players ability and compare it with points of reference that we have formed from watching other players play in similar positions - In all honesty, I’ve seen nothing to suggest that this guy is going to help transform our team into world beaters, in fact , I’d go as far as saying that currently he detracts from the teams performance - if he went off and wasn’t replaced, I’m not sure that he would be missed ?
There were earlier comments liking Havertz to Ozil !! Well for me, that puts the tin hat on it , cause if what we have to look forward to is even close to what Ozil did(not) for the arsewipes, then God help us.

I'm not going to disregard a whole league just because someone else dislikes our player. If it didn't matter how Kai played in Bundesliga we wouldn't have bought him in the first place.
We have the patience for Mount but not for Kai, why is that? Honest question.
-
If you don't care what he did in Germany then why do you make yourself look like an idiot by discussing about it in the first place? First you say it didn't matter what he did, you lost that argument so now you're switching the goal post saying that you personally don't care what he did there...
What makes you stupid is that you're criticizing a 20-21 year old that came without a pre-season, had covid and that now got a new manager.
I think he's very sorry for not scoring 3 goals against Wolves check his social media maybe he apologized to you already since you have been yelling his name so much... For you it doesn't matter that he's basically 1 goal and 1 assist behind from Mount that has played more minutes, you're just going to keep crying while still thinking that it was a good decision to let go of KDB, that's just you isn't it?
-
You won't find a professional coach that said something bad about Kai. His only problem is that the fans from club he plays for don't like him. You would think that KDB was a good lesson but nope, some really want history to repeat itself...
-
Sorry to be picky, but there is a huge difference between the purchase of KDB and Havertz and it’s about £65+ million.
Paying £7 million for a 21 year old with potential stacks up, paying £75 million would suggest that its more the complete package, it’s not his fault that we paid so much for him, but it does influence our expectation I believe .

Havertz scored around 50 goals in his career and he's 21 years old only. Just stop.

ChelseaThailand got a reaction from The Don Antonio in Chelsea v Wolves (PL) Wed 27th Jan 2021 18:00 GMTOur performance today, IMO was good, but not great. Wolves played a lot different than the last time; double decker parking for the most part. Several things that I really like is players seem a lot sharper and moved the ball very quick, just need to finish it.
I know a lot of us are disappointed that we didn't win, but I think we will get better for sure.

Disappointed to draw today though think under Frank we might have lost on the counter attack.
The players showed more intent and work in the first half though ran out of steam in the second. Wolves had two counter attacks, Ziyech and Jorginho stopped the first and CHO running back like he never did for Frank stopped the second. Although we worked harder and passed more crisply up until around the 60th minute we could not break them down. Giroud was not that effective today. CHO was probably MOTM and this was his best match for me after showing some recent improvement under Frank, think he now feels he is over his injury. Very poor that none of his crosses were converted. Kovavic was good for about 60 minutes through working with Jorgy to move the ball up the pitch and even had a half decent shot which narrowly missed. Jorgy did make any mistakes for me though was perhaps too defensive and once Kova stopped running we passed sideways. Ziyech, still does not convince me. He has some nice moves yet end product is lacking though his one attempted shot won us a corner. Feel at times he does not spot a break and instead of feeding it frustratingly goes backward! Defensively he helped out. Havertz moments where he was neat and looked to overrun Wolves only for other movements where he gives the ball away or just passes backward. Silva was arguably our other MOTM didn't notice anything he did wrong. Surprised to see Rudiger over Zouma, think their level is similar though Zouma is much more effective in the opposition box on set pieces. Chilwell was defensively ok and had a real battle today and had two chances, one on the far post he missed due to the defender being too close the other more centrally he should have scored and he knows it. Surprised to see Azpi play today, though he did ok and put in some good crosses and was not caught out too often with Ziyech covering. Mount should have come on five minutes earlier, we had stopped running or creating around the 60th min mark and Mounts direct attacking runs and turns brought back the positive impetus and was unlucky to not get us in the lead. Pulisic was poor for me and didn't seem to want to take anyone on the Right, so why did he play there? Tammy did not see much of the ball difficult to assess.
Manager
Did ok considering was his first match.
Subs made sense though 5 minutes earlier would have been better.
So now level with Arsenal and 5 points behind WHU...........
