De Ligt and De Jong are good friends. Lets do this. They would both fit into the team. they both have the attributes that we need. Young and ambitious players. I thought for a moment Serge Gnabry (RW/LW) would be a nice option for Chelsea? But he Seems to fail to settle at any club and is not open to signing a new contract without a significant increase in salary, and it is his very significant financial demands that are proving to be a problem over a new contract. The wages are less of a problem for Juventus where tax laws are beneficial but they have preferred options. Real Madrid consider him an option to Mbappe as they look to shake up their wingers, but there are others ahead of him on their list, but the player wants to move to Madrid. Is he worth the trouble? Should Chelsea chae another player who would rather be in Spain?

Agreed. Pulisic is not a bad player at all. I mean he has had a lot of injuries and we can sign a better player for sure. But Captain America is a good kid. He is loyal to the club too. I have never had a problem with him. A good squad player. My guess is some folks really do not like americans.

Well, when Roman first came the reason we were able to buy players straight away was that RA paid cash up front and most deals at that time were on the installment plan. RA and Chelsea paid cash up front and that was what the selling clubs wanted. In the USA they have a draft system and therefore they can swap and exchange picks, etc. It is much more designed that way. More egalitarian, maybe even communist. lol. But in england and Europe the clubs all want cash especially now as they are still reeling financially from the Pandy.

Yeah, maybe. He is still young and there are improvements to be made to his game. I thought him and Big Rom might have worked well together, but we didn't get to see that. Or rather Pulisic playing alongside an out and out striker might work out well. Not sure that TT formation works for Pulisc. Pulisic has been played as a RWB on occasion too. As an aside, speaking of players who have played RWB, whats happening with CHO? loan?

The question is, how often do swap deals actually work? Hardly ever to Never is the answer. The media loves to talk about a swap deal. It is part of the soap Opera of the game. But they rarely happen between clubs. Try not to complicate matters. Try and keep everything separate for now. Swap deals just hardly ever work out. Clubs generally want money for their players.

Pulisic was signed on his footballing ability (not his nationality) and imho he will stay at the club. He is a good kid with lots of raw ability and he has been unlucky with injury. He has not been offered to Juventus. He will be staying at Chelsea. In my 50 years of watching Chelsea I would have to say I strongly disagree with your opinion of Pulisic.

btw- Pulisic is not as bad as some folks around here are suggesting. Plus. He is Captain America and Chelsea are owned by Americans. He is not going anywhere.
