Chelsea v Aston Villa (PL) Sat 1st Apr 2023 17:30 GMT
When's the last time you were invited to a party? I'd be over the moon if we won the CL with Potter in charge and would love it whoever scores. Never really got the weird "fans" that get upset if certain players perform well and those like yourself that only support players of certain nationalities, I don't think there's any place for unnecessary division in football. It's pretty shocking to me that some people are so mentally stunted they actually dislike those they criticise and want them to fail but sadly those people buy into the idea others view the game the same way. If I criticise a player or the manager it's because they're not contributing positively to the club and I don't believe they're capable of doing so, if that person proves me wrong and does well I'll be the first to celebrate the clubs achievements because again we're a club not a collection of individuals you like and a seperate group you dislike and want to fail. We're Chelsea.

There's little point indulging Canada Goose. A man that posts dozens of times every day without having anything of value or any relevance to say. Just endless babble about other posters daily which is why I have long had him on ignore. I'm happy our success has brought people from all over the globe to support our club, the more the merrier but perhaps this forum would attract more than 130 people a day and be a better place for discussion if the most active posters preferred to discuss Chelsea and weren't lonely trolls on the other side of the globe consistently attempting lazy personal attacks, imagining things about other posters, posting bait and general drivel then trying to play it off as "their sense of humour" when called out on it. I Spent a year travelling in Canada a while back amd people were lovely but i doubt many people in Canada have much time for our Canadian mascot and his "sense of humour" probably why @axman2526 spends so much time on here. As someone else said, he must be an Ex-Pat

Chelsea v Bayern Munich (CL Final) 19/05/12 KO 19:45 BST
Exactly. I don't know why so many of our "supporters" want to deny reality to try and downplay our achievements. We were absolutely fantastic in 2021, thoroughly dominated every team we faced home and away in the CL and stomped the City team we faced in the final 3 times in succession. We were one of the most deserving CL winners of all time we were outstanding that season once Tommy T came in.

Official Thomas Tuchel *Now Sacked*
Opting for Torres over Aguero is probably the key moment in the difference between both ours and Citys fortunes in the league over the last decade.

Christian Pulisic - Official
Well that's a lie as you managed to name drop me in multiple threads in that time which is particularly strange I've never even spoken to you. Usually i ignore you, partly because of the low quality of your posts and partly because I burst out laughing everytime I see your name since someone showed me you actually thought you could invest in imaginary shares of footballers on football index and make money and I just can't take you seriously. How can you even discuss football with a guy that thought he could buy shares in footballers? 🤣 But if you could refrain from accusing me and other members of the forum ( in this case @Big Nigel ) of being random people like you're on some kind of witch hunt that would be wonderful. Thanks.

Not a surprise at all to see Tuchel walk into another top job. I'm happy for him but it's a nail in the coffin of our CL hopes this year I fancy Bayern to win it with Tommy T in charge. I do wonder what kind of Job Potter will take next once we finally put this sham to an end? I hear there is a vacancy at the Dog and Duck and they're looking for someone with experience of a single top half finish to take them forward. As per recent reports we paid Brighton £20m in compensation for Potter and promised to pay him £60m over the next 5 years. If you had said to Brighton at any point in the last 3 years they could pay £80 million to upgrade Potter to Tuchel they'd have sacked Graham on the spot.

It's always a worry when someone mentions easy games and the first one is a team level on points with us with an indisputably better manager and the 2nd one is also against a team with an indisputably better manager. I'm afraid there aren't many easy games with Potter in charge and not only because he'll take off all our attacking players and bring everyone back like we're the last 11 defending thermopylae whenever we go a goal up.

Depressing to be back. I'd rather we continued to win and there was no need to to criticise the manager Did it really feel like I was gone though? I've been tagged in 19 different posts since I last logged on. Mod should be giving me a percentage of forum donations at the rate some people here logged on to talk about me when I wasn't here.

I don't get how anyone could take that from Boehly telling Potter to childishly swear in a press release Obviously Potter has been criticised in the media for his drab demeanour and the club are clearly looking to change his image to the point I'm expecting him to start turning up to games in a leather jacket and with an eye patch (might improve us) But Criticism of Potter isn't based on his off the field persona more than his results and instructions on the pitch, he was disgustingly cowardly against Leeds and nearly lost us 2 points by giving up going forward and imbibing pressure at home against a championship team and seemingly learnt nothing from that lucky escape by doing the exact same thing in our next home league game against another championship quality team and this time we paid the price. The club can and will manipulate the PR around Potter but they can't change his natural instincts during games and he's instinctively afraid of the opposition.

Feel like the past few wins have mostly been inspite of Potter. We have so much quality in the squad we'll win some games here and there but he doesn't make the team better, his line ups are puzzling. His subs always make the team worse, he isn't learning from mistakes, playing deadwood over the new signings he's supposed to integrate especially when we have little to play for And is always susceptible to being worked over by a more tactically astute manager like Dyche.

Do you have a job? Any friends? Hobbies? Anything? I often wonder why this forum has such little activity and so few posters given the size of club we are and then I see some of the older posters and it's pretty clear why. The fact I haven't used this forum in 10 days or so yet you've managed to tag me in a post or comment about me almost every single day in that time is extremely concerning calling me other names or just generally name dropping me in multiple threads. If you were a kid on social media posting about a celebrity every day it would be a little weird but you'd grow out of it, when you're an old man obsessing over a random user on an anonymous football forum we're probably at the stage someone needs to take a look at @just's hardrive. Weird dude.

Raheem Sterling signs for Chelsea
He's always been vastly underrated his entire career. I have no idea why given how overated most English players are but Sterling has never got the credit his outstanding career has deserved. Should be starting every week imo.

After nearly 30 games it turns out the only way Potter can get us looking like a half decent side is to play exactly the same way Tuchel had us playing. But he did it tonight, our best performance tonight, the best we've seen since Graham came in and finally something to build on but it has to be something we do consistently not just a 1 off.

Chelsea (0) v Dortmund (1) (CL) Tue 7th Mar 2022 20:00 GMT
I don't usually respond to plastic old head hunters like @justthink he often forgets which club he supports and is more interested in arguing with someone than the football but i'll make an exception tonight because the mood is good. We were terrific. What a performance from most the lads! we were outstanding to a man and absolutely deserved to go through, if it hadn't taken to nearly his 30th match in charge for a performance like tonight I'd have been singing Potters praises but credit where it's due we performed really well today and hopefully can keep the momentum going. Absolutely no negatives at all other than the tiny one you mentioned, personally I wouldn't have mentioned it but the return of Pulisic was a shocker. Think he thought he was still coming off the bench at Dortmund! Either way enjoy the evening mate, i'm touched your first thought after the game was about me but tonight is surely the best night of our season and we might not score 2 goals in a game again so surely it's a night for celebration and positivity!
