  1. Taylor did his part for them already. 18 yellow cards and a pen. We just gotta hold steady here
  2. I’m shocked at how quickly Clearlake was able to clear out the culture or the club. My lord there is no fight back or heart in this team.
  3. Anything Taylor hasn’t been the problem. Yet. but this effort is atrocious, really regretting letting Conor leave, the midfield is so light, caicedo has no one to play with, whereas last year he and Conor worked great together.
  4. Assuming Lela gets to play… The biggest concern heading into a match against Kepa is his two biggest weaknesses are also our attacking weaknesses. he can’t claim crosses… no matter, we’ve done away with that tactically hes a sub par shot stopper… no worries, we rarely fire on target leaves me feeling awfully concerned about result here.
  5. This is now becoming quite funny but if im not mistaken with the No outside sale rule for another 7 years or whatever. wouldn't that mean that if Boehly wants to buyout clearlake, he basically needs to do an internal share swap, so clearlake selling to an internal party? meaning that Mark Walters (CEO of guggenheim partners 300b or so assets under managment) would likely be the only realistic buyer of the clearlake shares? I suppose wyss could take some on too. but just seems like unfortunately for us all, because eghbali seems the worse of the two, ball is mostly in clearlakes court...
  6. As a veteran PE employee in North America, I feel like I can give a little bit of insight. Ill admit up front I’m on the side of us all waking up tomorrow and the club reverts to pre sanctions and Roman is back in charge, but barring that: the day to day operations of management of a company under a PE firm umbrella generally involves 2-3 things: reporting to the board, which the c-suite does on a weekly basis in most cases on such financial factors as number of weekly sales, turnover/renewal rate for the week, etc. Basically, the day to day consists of micro management to the point of stifling any growth thinking and innovation. all of this is just a warning for those who think either boehly or egg Ali will be best that neither is likely any f**king good. but that said boehly at least has some experience managing a successful sports franchise, whereas eghbali appears to be the new money snob who recently joined your golf club who thinks he’s better than everyone else and wants everyone to know everytime he has a flashy new toy. end of the day. If we go into receivership and have to start again in league 2, f**k it, that adventure under a good owner would almost be more fun
  7. Finally got around to watching this. the referee was atrocious… IF VAR exists to get things right should’ve been a few differences. aside from that, these players need to know they are Chelsea. We don’t get much favourable refereeing so got to make their own luck out there and take their chances when they come up. palmer needs to be our 10 at all times, and my god could we really use a guy like Gallagher
  8. Yes we now are so lucky to get to go play 3 away games in potentially lovely winter places ranging from Cyprus, Kazakhstan, Northern Ireland, Finland, Bosnia! And we get to host three as well! much fun, lots of travel!
  9. The gulf in talent between our 1.3b starting 11 and our 700m second 11 is vast...
  10. and Chelsea website feed has now gone off air... Getting an error lol. Guess they realized people were watching for free
  11. Maybe because im in canada, but I can't even find it on the website... illegal non english stream it is. At least the drumming and chants are fun without commentary!
  12. Seems like there’s risk he just pulls a big rom, gets here, eats burgers, plays til December, does an interview and then demands to go back to Napoli. Securing them profit and his newly enhanced wages (from last year extension) paid by us…
  13. Winstanley and Stewart have got to be licking their chops at the valuation / pure profit bump Noni can get them in the next week!
  14. Noni and Cole were immense, the lack of defensive focus from wolves on that side was bad. neto looks good and more importantly, we haven’t had any hamstrings (knock on wood) flare up outside of James so our medical dept is the true stars so far this season
  15. You’d think they’d try to stop the movement we’re getting from Palmer and noni. But great start to the second half, this is fun!
  16. Reminded me of lampard tactics. fun to watch but just disaster class in our own half. palmer looking to get his freedom here a bit more which is good. Gotta invert cucu not gusto if you insist on doing that.
  17. H2SO4aq replied to Neil A's topic in General Chelsea FC
Yeah but Atletico has a 50% sell on fee. If he’s good, they’ll get the £40 eventually
  18. Ok but unless I’m very wrong, PSR wasn’t in effect at the time of those payments, so surely you can’t run afoul of rules that didn’t yet exist??? None of this makes a lick of sense to me, like pay a fine for “illegal payments” that’s all well and good but anything beyond that seems pretty flimsy on a legal basis if PSR didn’t exist…
  19. Ahh so undeclared payments will somehow be worse than the 115 breaches that city have. Most certain of that
  20. I dont get how we can get charged and transfer banned for PSR and FFP “breaches” or things that happened before PSR and FFP existed. is that not kinda Orwellian? Like issuing a speeding ticket for going over 30 last week when they just put in the school zone limit this week
  21. You think?!? id say it’s pretty damn evident we’ve taken multiple steps backwards. actually impressive to have spent 1.5b and somehow might not even win in the MLS
  22. Someone on Twitter pointed out that Disasi is the only Chelsea player to have scored for Maresca in a competitive match
  23. Good. Booing is necessary. Amazed the crowd is even awake enough. Halftime whistle must’ve woken them up
  24. Drinkwater-hall is not at Chelsea level for much else but this
