  1. Sad to watch, bossed by a guy that my Son used to play against and with from U7's upwards and in Aldershot Academy (Ben House). Mind you on current evidence Enzo would struggle to win a footrace with even that age group. As for our so called (and I use the term loosely) "Goalkeeper" could have been watching an episode of Some Mothers do 'ave Em where Frank Spencer helps the local team out when the Goalie is short....all he needs is the fk***g Beret instead of a Cap.
  2. Yesterday was just soul destroying can't remember feeling that way so early in a game for a long long time, the guy basically pulled down the Blue Flag and hoisted a White one. 7 mins for Fs sake - Speechless.
  3. Yep in agreement with this personally, particularly during a dreadful first half, couldn't really fault Enzo's performance. As for Enzo the manager just frustrating that he seems to stubbornly return to things that didn't work (for weeks on end) last season, the kind of "banging your head against a brick wall " tactics/team set up/management that just does my head in. Hate the way they play but a begrudging respect to Brentford who imo looked a limited side but whose manager set up them up in a formation /system that got the best out of those players by playing to their strengths. For us just don't get the Forfana at RB when you have James, Gusto and Acheampong available, play Forfana at CB or not all all. Hato was disappointing, Gittens left me me actually pining for Mudryk , can't imagine when Guiu is ever going to get a start if it wasn't against Brentford given the limited options available negated further by international hangovers. Totally wasted first half in my opinion, ok credit for the changes early enough to change things around but frustrating nethertheless. With the long throw being the likely source of an equaliser surely would have been a good idea to add a bit of height (Acheampong) for the remaining minutes after we had gone 2-1 up to help our defence.
  4. No idea if there's anything in it, however my guess (and this will probably come back to kick me royally in the a**e is that its a clumsy attempt to say in social media speak clearing all the bad times that have gone before and making a new start from now. Read somewhere that he left his first ever Chelsea post on there which would maybe suggest the above?
  5. Never thought we looked in any serious trouble at the back, ok Josh played a couple of loose passes and maybe bullied by Mateta once or twice but thought he did well under the circumstances, learning curve for him still but impressed with him all the same, one wonderful sliding tackle and follow up to win the ball. Though Trev was really good back there as well. Just seemed to be no real connection between midfield and forwards for me. The game totally passed Enzo by it seemed just totally ineffective, Palmer struggling (hate him dropping deeper to pick up the ball) and Gittens just looking very one dimensional with visually zero success on the left, and Pedro just seemingly getting very little actual service. Thought Maresca could have changed things at half time the way things had gone, probably controversial opinion but so much prefer seeing Cole on the right personally. Would have been happy even to swap Gittens for Santos at HT and push Enzo into the 10, CP to right and Neto left. If still no improvement then why not try both Pedro and Delap together v low block, switch Pedro to left (Neto off) and Delap through the middle, Enzo off for Estavao using either Estavao or Cole in the 10 and the other right. Just all smacked a little of Deja vu and last seasons set up and associated problems and a reluctance to change things when obviously not working
  6. Intriguing, It this had been two months ago I would probably gone with "Mudryk's B Sample", also assuming that the Todd statue is still in the design concept, so being totally optimistic a 60m front of shirt sponsor would be rather nice, there again judged on the clubs current trend of opportunities to wind up spurs the presentation of Eberechi Eze would be a good one (yes I know not needed but what's another body) ... BUT fearing the worst and knowing my luck it will probably be the unveiling of Alejandro Garnacho.
  7. Just my opinion but I think the biggest failing was no immediate plan B when Edwards turned down the job leading to Todd and TT in charge of recruiting for that all important first window. I think also TT not in a great place personally at the time and being more or less forced into a role that he clearly didn't want to take on really didn't help him in that regard. Maybe the alternates to Edwards were not available until much later but for certain I think TB just got it totally wrong thinking he and TT could get away with fulfilling that role in the short term until they did find an alternative. Arrogance?...Naivety? I really don't know. I also think that not being able to persuade Cech to stay in the short term, at least in transition during that first transfer window was a huge blow given the link between him and Tuchel. feel it just needed a respected "football person" in situ to help facilitate recruitment for that first window, which imo just required identifying the holes in what was an elite CL squad, and enhancing those positions where we were lacking (eg the loss of Ruddier) to ensure the squad had a chance of maintaining that level. Unfortunately we got it badly wrong and have been trying to play catch up from that moment onwards, and speaking as a fan just such a massive disappointment given how we'd managed to stick together (the Tuchel "I'll drive the bus" moment etc etc) under the adversity of the forced sale of the club and the associated problems that brought. In a strange way the last few years has almost seen the club go "full circle" during my time of supporting the club I love, It began in 67 building to the excitement of the squad we built culminating in those magnificent FA Cup and CWC wins. The excitement generated by our plans to redevelop the ground and the prospect of building on our success only to feel the pain of the sudden fall from those heights as the squad disintegrated and the East Stand disaster leaving us victims of our own ambitions nearly destroying the club. Must admit when the Government ordered the forced sale of the club did beg the question at the time as to the future have we gone full circle from when I began supporting. No idea where we are going to end up with these owners and at my age may never see the "finale" so to speak, however I just crave to have a reconnection of, at least the players/manager and fans and the chance to show my appreciation to the efforts on the pitch for a group of players who enjoy playing for the shirt , and performances that excite, win lose or draw and make me want to continue going to games while I am still able and proud to do so.
  8. Very excited how Pedro has started, may be wrong but looks like maybe the type of player who is capable of scoring a goal from nothing if you know what I mean. Very impressed.
  9. Blimey...Puma gear making a comeback, whatever next.....? On that basis and thinking ahead of the game guess it might be a good time to dust down the old Dunlop Green Flash
  10. The Trump thing was cringy but typical of him I suppose, when he didn't move of the podium I was half expecting YMCA to start playing after Reece lifted the trophy.
  11. Annoys me how as it seems the balance of the loan system for our club has seemingly changed somewhat over the last few years. I remember the days when it seemed that the majority of our available loan slots were utilised by providing development opportunities for our young players, these days it seems to be increasingly looked upon as a glorified storage facility for deadwood or players on massive wages that we cannot shift.

Also seem to remember the name Dujuan Richards another young forward that we signed some time ago, is he still with us?
