I think it also has a knock on effect on our youth players progression, increasingly a reduced number of loan placings available for progression opportunities as our loan places increasingly being used as a glorified storage facility for deadwood who we can't shift.

BlueCo buy Chelsea FC
Its a missed opportunity for the owners to have built a little goodwill between themselves and supporters, many owners that make mistakes and shoot themselves in the foot so to speak, however ours seem to shoot themselves in both feet on a regular basis.

"As I hope you understand the club needs to have revenue in order to compete," No sh1t Sherlock but obviously not that important that you can apparently do without Shirt sponsorship deals revenue for the past few years and have made zero progress on the biggest revenue problem - stadium redevelopment.

World Cup 2026
No idea why they needed a stretcher - with what he'd taken he could of just "pogo'd" off

World Cup 2026
No idea why he was on the plane to begin with so no big loss in my opinion, in his usefulness or contribution to this team its a bit like us having Stamford the Lion getting injured.

Spot on imo, personally will be really sad to see him go if it was to happen.- Xabi Alonso - New Chelsea Manager
While I agree that can't expect to pay massive amount on 34 year old 8m is a Toal p1ss take, these dkheads just never get it right. Why not go in at a respectable offer that, even if deemed a little low at least may keep you in the conversation with negotiations even if eventually can't agree. we just don't seem to be a serious club any more in more or less anything that we do, they never seem to get the balance right.- Pitch Walk Out Songs for Chelsea Players
Rude of me to exclude our apparent new arrivals so, on first appearances: Marco Palestra - Curtains (Ed Sheehan) Valentin Barco - The Laughing Gnome (David Bowie) Emmanuel Emegha - Return to Sender (Elvis Presley)- Pitch Walk Out Songs for Chelsea Players
Enzo Fernandez - It should have been me (Yvonne Fair)- Pitch Walk Out Songs for Chelsea Players
Robert Sanchez - Over my shoulder (Mike & the mechanics) or Living in a box (Living in a box) Josh Acheampong - Train in Vain (The Clash) Mikhailo Mudryk - Sorted for E's and Wizz (Blur) Jamie Gittins - You ain't seen nothing yet (Bachman Turner Overdrive) Liam Delap - Pretty Vacant (sex pistols) Alehandro Garnach - Every Day Hurts (Sad Cafe Malo Gusto - Pony Time (Chubby checker) Any of our up and coming summer transfer signings - Schools Out (Alice Cooper)- Pitch Walk Out Songs for Chelsea Players
Reece James - Pulling Mussels (from a shell) Squeeze- Enzo Maresca - Chelsea "Head Coach" *Official NOW SACKED*
Tend to think that the whole initial appointment had red flags given that there was a clause in the contract stating that EM had to notify Chelsea if he was approached by City, kind of suggests that they were half expecting an approach at some point along the line maybe the length of contract was in their minds some kind of insurance policy against that happening/ really don't know but all a bit strange. Was personally never taken with his style of football on the entertainment front, nor his refusal to try something new for weeks on end when what he was going with clearly wasn't working. Can never see his style of football working with anything but an already elite group of players but whether they would enjoy playing that type of micromanaged "football by numbers" who knows. I do think that EM engineered his own exit given the City interest hence the outburst that the club didn't support him for Atlanta game (injured players etc?) Any way at the end of the day personally wasn't sad to see him go despite the CL and WCC successes, don't in anyway agree that he was the sole reason for our disastrous final league position, in my book that goes down to Blue and their decision to replace him with LR lol. Yes was certainly disruptive but we still had the opportunity to finish top 4. beating Villa should have been a springboard to push on with a real attempt at achieving that goal having narrowed the points gap and with some decent fixtures to come so no excuses in my book.- World Cup 2026
Top half of the draw looks brutal- Maxence Lacroix
Brother-in-Law is a Palace fan (nice bloke apart from that lol) and has been really impressed with Lacroix.- Liam Delap joins Chelsea *Official*
Have to admit that was ok with the signing when we made it, 30m seemed worth a punt on a striker who seemed to be viewed as decent squad addition and to give something different up front when needed, however have been massively underwhelmed at what seen to far. Seems to collect yellow cards like I used to collect panini stickers, just seems to run onto the pitch with the sole aim of bashing into as many opposition players as possible. Its not even the so called "dark arts" no controlled aggression or "subtlety about what he does, almost telegraphs his actions to the point where you know exactly what he's going to do before he does it. Just brainless - I reckon if Liam Delap was a burglar and robbed a hotel he'd probably sign the guest book.- BlueCo buy Chelsea FC
I think also the loss of Cech didn't help, provided that link between TT and player recruitment. A relationship between the two that TT reportedly really enjoyed and just added to the negatives when TT more or less forced into what was a more involved role with that side of things, with the ticket tout basically taking on the role of SD/player recruitment after his lack of an immediate plan B after being turned down by Edwards on takeover. Arrogance or naivety in maybe underestimating the immediate importance of that role ? but imo Down hill from that moment on.- Xabi Alonso - New Chelsea Manager
Blue Recruitment policy of late gets around these problems - Recruiting players who are not old enough to drove a car.- Jamie Gittens joins Chelsea
Remember being so optimistic when I first saw Gusto, think it was a pre season game when he absolutely bossed Mitoma, oh well first impressions and all that lol.- Jamie Gittens joins Chelsea
Have to agree just appeared so weak in any physical situation from what I've seen so far which was a surprise . Would love to be proved wrong but given from what I've seen so far from a defensive perspective makes even Garnacho look like Ron Harris.- Xabi Alonso - New Chelsea Manager
Haven't watched Strasbourg games really so have to admit first time I've seen him albeit in what was only a comprehensive highlights first half package. My first thought was, blimey he looks small lol to the point where for a minute I questioned whether I was watching a rerun of an episode of Michael Bentine's Potty Time - all it need was the footprints appear in the grass as he "ran" down the wing. In all seriousness though was quite impressed with what I saw, always looking to get on the ball, seemed quick quick, not afraid to get stuck in, looked to progress the ball forward when the opportunity arose and not afraid to shoot as per the chance from which his goal came. Same height as Vitinha apparently. Don't remember the guy previously at Brighton although don't suppose he played that many games.- RIP Bobby Tambling
Very sad news RIP Bobby and thanks for the fantastic memories. Had the privilege of watching the great man many times and was one of the names on the team sheet on my first ever visit to the bridge in 1967 to watch us draw 1-1 against Coventry City.- BlueCo buy Chelsea FC
Oh well I suppose kinda in line with our playing speed of 33 1/3 for most of the season. Seriously think we'll be luck to bag 30 in our current situation and lack of elite European exposure.- World Cup 2026
and there he is lol - Brilliant!! - Andrey Santos Signs for Chelsea
