Thing is with that argument you could say Arsenal had a bad apple we helped them get rid of and we helped them solve their CB problem at the same time...ok Gallas was likely to waste away for a year and go for nothing but we got a player we never really needed and gave them 5m to help fund a bigger library..... :cry:

a hard one for me..... JMs time hear has brought 2 titles and a cup and no one can doubt that we are now the best English team.... his time has brought in great players...I for one never imagined we could have players like Sheva wearing our Blue unless they were well past their best. some great players have gone and that includes Gallas Mutu Parker Tiago Eidur Duff all players whos replacements may not be necessarily any better players and with the exception of Mutu I cant understand why they were sold.....ok we have got rid of a few whos future at this club was not looking good...Baba Glen Manich Jarosik Smertin etc what I dont like is the feeling I get that Jose will never admit to be wrong like in the Bridge case...we never needded DelHorno and Gallas is not a better left back than Wayne... I find it hard to like Jose unyet I would find it hard to think of a better manager......... my picture of him cheers me up as when he really looks like he is happy with the team it makes me think chelsea is more than just money to him more than just reputation building, but I always have doubts...fickle I think is the word. My thoughts are he will be with us for another season or two and then if all has gone ok be off to coach the Portugese national side and who could blame him... I just hope another couple of Titles and a CL trophy are in our cabinet by then and we find an able replacement...Gullit again anyone?

If the deal had been done with a foreign team that was not competing with us on an equalish level than I would have been happier..... to strengthen a main rivals team is madness and althoughAC is a great left back we only needed a covering left back as Wayne is well up to the job. the fact Gallas never would have played for us and if he did then his heart would not have been in it makes it easier but the fault in my mind lies with Jose for playing Riccy (who I do rate) ahead of Willie far to often which started all this.

I want to smack my self in the face for saying it but Ashley Cole is as good as any and is proven in the prem, his linking up with Joe looked like they had played together before in the WC, although its unlikely we'll have Joe on the left in front of Ashley at least we know it works. I hate the thought of signing gooners but he is a quick and dependable defender and can go forward very well too...if Bridge is not seen as good enough to be our no1 then I for one would be happy with AC.

I think Ballack has what it takes to storm the Premiership, it gives a good opportunity to rest Frank here and there abut I like the thought of them in the same team, Ballack is good in the air and I can see a lot of goals again from midfield, thats good for us as Drogs could have a better season and Sheva just makes it about the most exciting team we have had for a while....if they all can be kept happy and having a good run in all competitions could help as we will get to try a lot of permutations.
