José Mourinho Confirmed as Chelsea Manager!
I see...funny enough I'd be enjoying my football just the same especially if Jose was still at the helm for the bounce. That said our difference of opinion is surprisngly huge for a change as I think Jose will get it turned around long before the scrappers at the bottom have squeaky bums, I think we'll be fourth to eighth butthen again I don't feel we've been a s bad as most on here and I expect it to be an up and down season now it's gone this far. Jose is quality and I don't think his quality can be shoe holed into "at the top end" or "in his first two seasons" I think he is a quality coach full stop. He makes mistakes, he can be stubborn, he can be pragmatic, but he'll learn from this season and I hope he is still here with his new found knowledge.

José Mourinho Confirmed as Chelsea Manager!
Like I said, form and fitness, Costa to me looks flabby and Hazard doesn't seem to accelerate from a standing start like he did, the worrying thing for me is those of you who won't call for Jose to be sacked but say we'll be relegated with him confuse me so much I forget what the point of my post was going to be. I'll just say "well then I disagree".

José Mourinho Confirmed as Chelsea Manager!
Agreed but for me it's a form fitness issue more than some fall out behind the scenes, obviously players out of form will get stroppy here and there but I think they want to do well it's just a general malaise and nervousness because of the lack of form. It's hard to understand and there are likely more than one element to our problems but for me this is the main thing.

José Mourinho Confirmed as Chelsea Manager!
It's strange because we haven't made that many chances in a lot of games we've lost and it's been about bad defending, apart from Dave letting Mahrez get on his best foot when he should have done better it wasn't all about that tonight, it was more us missing chances and in all honesty they were chances that should have gone in, Costa was a tad unlucky as his movement on that occasion was good and he did get the shot off, on a good day it would have gone under the keeper but Ivans attempt would have been impressive had he been defending, how he got the angle so wrong on his foot I just don't know.

See though Davy I'm not blaming either for tonights showing...well maybe the players that had the blue shirts on, just better than people think.

José Mourinho Confirmed as Chelsea Manager!
I wish I could agree but I really don't see the lack of desire, had Costa, Ivan, Pedro to name just three had anything other than a bad touch on three occasions tonight they'd have been on the scoresheet, Matic header should have been a goal and I really felt it looked like the players thought Leicester would huff and puff for fifteen minutes and then our little passing game would war them out, that didn't happen and it took seventy minutes for them to realise it wasn't going to be that easy. Still should have had a draw out of it but I think they think they are better than they are. I think we've suffered a lot worse results than this one this season and away at the team at the top just isn't the place to give up on the manager or the players.

It's that word again...Leicester, they are not some old championship side this season they are top of the league on merit and likely would have beaten Porto the same a s we did, I think the players had that word in their heads until they saw they had 15 players...or it looked like they did.

Jose set us up right for the game, he knew we had to defend deep as they are so quick on the counter, he played the eleven that had played well last time out, had he not played them and we lost it would be difficult to defend him (although I'd give it a go). Remy does deserve a start but the way Costa looked last time out was a glimpse of last seaon and the hope that he would get some form back made him a nailed on starter for this one. I can't reply to every post by people wanting to get rid of him so imagine you've slept on it and start helping me out here...you know you will tomorrow

If they didn't want to play for him, leicester wouldn't have been hanging on to a slim lead at the end they would have been clear. We all exaggerate what we see to put our points across but players don't only try for the last twenty minutes if they don't want to play for a manager, more likely try a bit till they go behind then go through the motions.

Leicester v Chelsea - Mon 14 Dec - 20:00
The thing is that same starting eleven played well last time out, I just think Leicester got at them and they struggled to get themselves going, not tactics, not desire, they just looked a bit shell shocked and I thought they played the last twenty minutes looking the better side.

I'll gladly be the only one who still supports him as long as the owner does the same, if after the sh*te that we've served up this season, a loss tonight against a team who played well is enough to turn you then so be it, it isn't enough for me.

Come on yourself, We've lost nine games already and that's obviously a problem, one that in my opinion Jose will get sorted and we'll come again next season. You don't share that opinion which is fine, I'll still be defending him and feeling that if I was going to give up on him, it wouldn't be after a defeat to a team who has only lost once this seaon and who played well. I think the players thought like most here that Leicester are in a false position and this would be wake up time, they shut us down very quickly and broke really well, it took three quarters of the game for us to get going against them and that's down to the players, Mourinho can't run out there and push them into positions.

MOTM vs Leicester (A) (PL)
Unusually it's not between Azpilicuetta and Willian, that gos someway to explaining the loss, the form lapse has spread. I thought Pedro tried hard and with a bit of finesse could have saved the day, Remy was ok for the time he had to do anything.

Relegated because we lost to the top team in the division? we've lost to a few teams and so will everyone, all I'm saying is this shouldn't be the straw that breaks the camels back, If Jose survived the loss to Bournmouth he'll survive this one. I still back him and still have firm belief that he is the man for the job, I am in a huge minority on the forum but I don't think I am in the fans on the whole.

I've asked myself that and I answered it before I got the whole question out....No Give the opposition some credit.

José Mourinho Confirmed as Chelsea Manager!
I wouldn't be pleased with Chelsea losing a game, maybe you mistake me for someone else, I pointed out the reasons why I feel Roman won't sack Jose on that performance...as it says in my post. I think the boys underestimated the opposition as most people on here do judging by the reaction to the result, had that been against Man City maybe people would see that we actually were right with them but as its only Leicester..the team a couple of places above City, we should have pissed all over them. They are top on merit and we are struggling for form, it wasn't a massive surprise and they played well.

you answered my post which makes me feel you likely read it...didn't you see from that what I thought of the performance?

José Mourinho Confirmed as Chelsea Manager!
We went away to the top club at the moment who proved they deserved to be there,we lost an important player early on, we had more shots 11 to their 9 , 8 corners to their one, committed 8 fouls to their 16, and didn't get going until we were 2 down, that statistic points to the players again taking an unfashionable team too lightly, We were dire but that was made worse because the usual solid players had a bad game as well as the main striker, we had enough clear cut chances to win that game even though we played badly. Roman won't sack Mourinho on that showing and nor should he.

Leicester v Chelsea - Mon 14 Dec - 20:00
Away from home against the team at the top of the table, full of desire and right up for it, never going to be easy... lets see if we can do something in the second half before we give up on the boys.

Leicester v Chelsea - Mon 14 Dec - 20:00
Leicester look worthy of their place and if they win this I really hope they carry on and make a fist of challenging at the top, I don't begrudge Claudio a thing. Costa would do well to look at Vardy for movement and workrate, lets hope the second half is better from us.

José Mourinho Confirmed as Chelsea Manager!
I think Roman will evaluate the situation at the end of the season, I'm sure he's learned enough about the game in his time here to have some belief in the manager and he'll watch how we perform in the FA Cup, CL and the rest of the league season without doig what he's already done too soon before. Jose in that time will prove he has what it takes to turn this round. I'm of the opinion there has been a gradual improvement, I also think there is no chance that he's lot the dressing room or any of the players trust so if Roman feels the same way he'll know a Mourinho who has done everything once he's added turning around a slump like we've been going through to his list of accomplishments will only become a better manager, why would he want that to be at another club?

Anyone can beat anyone in the prem at the moment, I had a fiver on Bournemouth to win that 2-0, happy enough for them to get the points and keep the division tighter, we'll be making a late charge for that CL spot so the more shocks the better.
