No they aren't. Put your concerns to rest. I'm stuck watching this awful game and it is shocking how unprepared they are. Amazingly the normally affable Avram Grant has a scowl on his face. Villa just hit the post for the second time. Mike Dean denied a sure penalty actually. Robert Green looks awful. 3-0 is very generous for West Ham, this one should be 5 or 6. Albrighton is dominating for Villa he looks like a very useful player. Can anyone catch Blackpool atop the table or should we just award them the trophy now?

Apart from a ten minute stretch they've been ripped to shreds by Villa. Relegation zone here they come

Don't be sad, you can still start before 8 :D In fact it's not on until 12:30 here on the East Coast and I might even start before 8. It the opening day of the Premier League so you should be starting at like 4:30 on the West Coast

What the hell..first

It is an uncomfortable topic but the Terry situation worries me a great deal. Obviously he has been a great player and a great capitan. However his ability has declined significantly. This isn't based off the Community Shield, it's based off everything. World Cup form, form last season. He wasn't bad last season but was very inconsistent. His intangible qualities are great and undeniable. However you have to balance great intangibles with ability and where is the line drawn. At what point does his heart not make up form his lack of pace? I don't think Terry will take to a demotion gracefully. And a demotion will happen eventually. Maybe this year, maybe next, jay be five years. I just fear that when it happens he will turn into a very negative and divisive force. I hate to say it but when he no longer has the quality to be a regular in our lineup he needs to leave the squad; either retire or go elsewhere. I do think that he will be deserving of a regular spot this season but for my money Ivan is our first choice centre back if he isn't playing right back.

I thought Turnbull was better then Hilario last season but let's be honest: none of us really have enough information to make this decision. Neither has played frequently enough for us to get a great feel for it. I think we need to trust Carlo on this one as he's around these guys everyday and gets to see them in training.

With Carvahlo gone it looks like we will see the same back line that started the CS. Who would have guessed Ferreira would be our starting Right Back for the opener?

Thought Ramires played very well against the US. He played defensive midfield in a 4-2-3-1 and was a big reason the Brazil midfield dominated the second part of the fittest half. He didn't get very involved in the attack but had a very nice assist on the Pato goal. He won a lot of balls, was all over the pitch and usually accurate with his passes.

Espically with the final in London. Maybe we can beat Arsenal or Spurs in the final.
