Yes that is what I mean. I just can't believe any manager would prefer Willian to Mata, especially after the last two years he has had. All he has done is produce. I'm not saying Willian is a bad player but his production wasn't anywhere near Juan's and he played in much weaker leagues. When the big matches come around (late CL games, PL games against top 4) I don't see how Juan shouldn't be picked before Willian.

Ya and that's the problem. Look how that worked yesterday. We needed him in there to deliver that final ball or create something. Oscar may be bigger and faster than Juan, but Juan is a much better passer. I still think Oscar can play a deeper role with his tackling ability. He can still get forward when paired with somebody like Ramires or Essien.

Maybe next preseason Lukaku will score a hat trick in each game. Then maybe he can get 10 min at the end of a game when it counts. Just a joke. Jose says he was going for the win then he throws a winger up front then brings in Torres who has tripped over more balls than scored goals.

No excuse for Mata not playing. He started last game so I am so sick of the excuses that he isn't match fit. The formation/selection to start the game was a joke. There is no reason that Lampard should be playing. If jose wants to sit back the whole game we need Mata in there to keep position and deliver that killer pass we are lacking very much. It's a good thing Terry is playing great because we needed him today. Another bad decision not to by play Lukaku. We had nobody to hold the ball. We had misplaced pass after misplaced pass because we had nobody to pass to. We were lucky to get one point.

Jose is kind of pissing me off. How does our best player, Mata, and our best striker, Lukaku, not start? Then starting Lamps 3 games in a row, especially after being awful last game? KDB has shiwn more than Lamps. I understand that if we win it will look like he is a genius but if it doesn't, will people be making excuses for him?

This game scares me because we don't have Luiz. These are the kind of games that he thrives in. He leads the team with his passion and usually scores does has some sort of positive impact against Utd.

I would like to see KDB in the CM spot. He is the closest thing to Lampard that we have. Personally I think he is better in the center of the pitch plus he can get into scoring areas like Lamps does.

I agree he isn't getting sold, but I can see him not getting picked. I can see him becoming second choice because of how Jose's preferred style.

I gotta say this is just wrong. I love Jose like everybody else but selling our best player would be inexcusable. I get he has a style he likes but you don't sell a player like Mata for that reason.

He won't be going anywhere but I do have the feeling that he is being fazed out of the squad. Jose wants guys that are fast and can fly on the counter attack, that explains Willian. Mata is our best player but his style doesn't match Jose's. hopefully Jose doesn't make a huge mistake with him.

If Mata is sold I lose all faith in Jose. He should be number 1 on the team sheet for every game. The last two years prove that. How does Jose not see this?

I hate to say this but I like what AVB has done with the Spuds roster. Adding Paulinho, Soldado and Capoue really brings their squad together. Their D is still young and a little weak but they have a nice squad. Definitely think they are above Arsenal right now.

So f**king dumb. I can see bringing in somebody like Rooney, but now Lukaku has to give up paying time to this washed up fool, just became use Jose liked him at one point. Lets just bring in Willian and ship out some of our young wingers. Not sure Jose is making the right decisions here.

I understood the expectations and pressure to finish top 4 and those are reasons not to promote our promising youth. Top players were always bought and it hindered our youth chances. Jose has come back and is quoted saying he want stability and he wants to help the youth system. BUT it is stil the same thing. We have players like Lukaku, Moses, Schurrle, KDB etc. that need time and chances to play. They can become real stars. We want to bring in Rooney or somebody else and it will limit Lukakus chances. If we bring in Willian (who I personally think is extremely overrated) it will be a complete slap in the face to our young midfielders, especially Moses, who worked his ass off in the preseason and scored 10 goals for us last year. Not to mention it is frustrating for players on loan like Piazon and others who will probably never get a chance. This policy has to change in order to get stability and encourage youth players.

Lukaku can't do it himself. It's the way of Chelsea to kill youth. Lukaku needs starts, something Chelsea won't give him. We will buy somebody like Rooney and Lukaku will get less time. We have young midfielders too in KDB, Moses and Schurrle. They will get less chances too if Willian is brought in. It's is the way of Chelsea. "Where promising youth get wasted"

Good thing we never gave him a chance and stuck with Torres. Good managing and good business by Chelsea there. We had a striker full of confidence begging to give him a chance and we call him arrogant. Then sell him. And....now we have a striker problem.

Speaking of... Another goal for Sturridge. I think that is 8 goals out of his last 7 games.

We had a good striker in Sturridge. Still don't know why we sold him. Would have made a good pairing with Lukaku because of different styles.

We wouldn't have this problem if we weren't stupid and wouldn't have sold Sturridge. Just a stupid move that was.
