  1. Why is nobody talking about how Lampard has let this team down pretty much the whole year? Yes, I get he is a Chelsea Ledgend and I have endless respect for the guy, but he is slowing down a ton. He has only scored maybe two goals that haven't been penalties and he couldn't even do that today. Big time players come up big and he failed. He is doing just a little bit more than what Ballack is.
  2. Ballack! Give me a break. What does he do? He makes terrible passes and just takes up space. There is no reason he should play. Deco! Doesn't create anything. All of the chances created from midfield come from Essien. Joe Cole or Kakuta have to be at the tip of the diamond. They are exciting to watch. Lampard! He is getting there. When is the last time he scored a goal that wasn't a penalty kick. Yes, sometimes he makes great passes but that is about it. He is no longer a scoring threat. Bottom line is that this team would be nowhere without Drogba, Essien, and Terry. They create everything for the whole team.
  3. I was wondering the same thing, or is the white one only used as an away kit for the champions league?
  4. I came across an article on espn.com where the writer predicts the lineups and squad for some of the premier league teams in 2015. It is really cool to think about and has some interesting names on there. Here is the link: http://soccernet.espn.go.com/columns/story...and&cc=5739 Thoughts?
  5. What are the plans/expectations for Daniel Sturridge. With all the hype behind Kakuta, Borini, Di Santo, and bringing in someone like Aguero or Pato, where does he fit in? He shows, at time, incredible potential. What are the short and long term plans. Is he a Kalou type player? A third striker? Or is he a guy that will be around and then leave after through a transfer or after his contract is up in a couple year?
  6. I agree also. These games should be used for the youngsters. Why not play Kakuta the whole game? Why not Matic. They are solid players anyway. If the team really needs the win you can sub in three great players later in the game.
  7. I am not saying that Aguero is not a great player. He is for sure. I would be happy if chelsea signed him. He would be a great option after drogba. I am saying that Pato would be a better option. He is younger and more established. He fits the system that Carlo has put in. I also think Pato would stay longer than Aguero might. Aguero seems to love La Liga and may want to go back at some point.
  8. Ha ha. Very true though. Replacing Drogba won't happen. Putting someone in his spot will happen and style of play will change. Drogba uses great strength and experience to beat defenders. Aguero uses speed and ball skills. Two totally different approaches but they both work. What people don't realize is that Aguero is only going to get better and better. He will be a long term solution for the strikers that are getting older.
  9. I agree that Aguero can play different postions, but Pato has shown that he can play those postions well. Another thing to think about is size. The Premier League is much more rough than the other leagues. Pato is 5'11" and Aguero is 5'7". Pato is much bigger. He would hold up a lot better.
  10. Messi deserved to win but it is unreal that Drogba was 9th. Many of the players that were above him didn't deserve to be that high. Drogba was much better than they were. There are a lot of people out there that don't like Drogba and don't really see how good he is.
  11. No matter who starts, I'm sure that we will see plenty of Kakuta tomorrow.
  12. I agree. Replacing Drogba won't happen overnight with the signing of a new player. He is one of the best, if not the best, player in the world.
  13. Goal.com is reporting that Kakuta will probably start. Doesn't say where though. I am sure he will probably play at the tip of the diamon. Carlo said before he sees him there because he can create for others and score.
  14. I agree, Pato would be better than Aguero. He can play different positions as well.
  15. Let's say Chelsea is able to sign players this summer, what are the realistic chances Carlo can get Pato to come to Chelsea. Pato seems to want to come and AC Milan are looking to make changes again. Getting him in January won't happen, but summer seems like a possibility. I think this would be a perfect move if it could be made. He is better than Aguero and will continue to get better. If you're saying, "what about sturridge and borini." wouldn't you want Pato before those two? Pato is just as young and much much better.
  16. I feel that signing Aguero is a great move. The move isn't for this year. It is for next year and beyond. He is a replacement for any of the strikers that are getting older and provides unbelievable depth considering he is much better than Kalou. Money isn't a problem. He is a great player. Also, Ancelotti loves to rotate his players and keep them fresh. What is the problem if we have three great strikers at the same time. It keeps Drogba and Anelka fresh considering they are getting older and won't play every game.
  17. Wow, thanks for the help! You are extremely helpful. I didn't know Man U fans were allowed in this forum. Sorry for wasting your time. Tool.
  18. I really don't know the specifics. I know why they received it, but not much else. What are the chances it gets put back on and when would that be? How long would it be put back on for? Also, what happens with Kakuta? Does he go back on susupension and for how long? Is there a chance the ban can go back on but the suspension lifted for Kakuta? Thanks.
  19. What I really like about this kid is his size and strength. He seems just like Drogba when it comes to his ability to hold defenders off and keep the ball. Looks like a great investment.
  20. I really hope he is not loaned out. I feel he is too dynamic of a player to loan out. He will mature and get better faster than most players. Lets put him in the lineup soon.
  21. What are the plans for this kid? To me, he seems like the real deal and a perfect tip of the diamond type guy. He can shoot and create for others. Can somebody update me on his suspension? How is it going to work again if and when the ban gets put back on. When can we expect him to really contribute to the team?
