Does anybody else think that that Ballack was absolutely useless today. He first touches and dribbling were terrible and his passes were worse. He cost us a lot of possesion. Deco should have started for him. I know lots of people don't like Mikel but he is much better than Ballack. He was terrible today.

If Sturridge would go I would be really pissed. I don't know about all of you, but when Sturridge or Kakuta are in the lineup I am much more excited to watch the game. I would rather watch them then watch somebody like Deco, Joe Cole, or Kalou.

Are all or most of the Chelsea games on FOX Soccer Channel in the USA?

Well I am from the US so hopefully I can get it from a live stream from somewhere. If anybody has any suggestions on how to get more Chelsea games over here I would be open to anything. I miss too many games.

Does anybody know if this game is on TV? I have been looking around and it doesn't look like it is going to be. Any ideas?

It has been a while since he has played. I know it is tough to get him some time with the other players around, but I really think he needs a little more time. I see him taking over for Deco and/or Joe Cole and he needs more experience first. I thought the Hull game was a good oppurtunity but with the reschedule he may not get a chance there with the African players coming back. Any thoughts or ideas?

I agree that it would be better for the team for Sturridge to play with Drogba, because then there would be two strikers in the game that play differently. That is why Anelka and Drogba are successful together, but I am saying that it is good for Sturridge to see how a player like Anelka plays and succeeds. They do play similar it is a a good way for Sturridge to learn.

Does anybody else think this is the perfect situation for Sturridge to play with Anelka? They both have very similar games. They both use their ball control, dribbling skills, and speed to get past defenders and create plays, where somebody like Drogba uses his power. If you watch highlights of Anelka when he was young, he looks and plays like Sturridge does now. I see Sturridge as a great long time replacement for Anelka. Sturridge gets the great oppurtunity to learn from a guy that plays the same way. Thoughts?

Is there a reason why anelka is still playing? We can't afford for him to get hurt. Borini or Sturridge would be nice right now.

I tried to search for this thread because I thought there would already be one, but could not find it. If there is one can someone post me a link? Otherwise, what are your opinions on Chelsea's rivals? Who do you hate the most? Who is considered the biggest rivals? Obviously there is Man Utd. Some people hate Arsenal and some have other teams they hate. Is Liverpool considered a rival?

Weren't there some rumours a while back about some young kids that Chelsea were frontrunners to sign. Two kids come to mind: Romelu Lukaku (the new Drogba) and Lucas Piazon (the new Kaka). They are 16 and 15 years old and it would be great for Chelsea if they could grab these two. Obviously they won't play right away, but it is good for the future. Has anybody heard any new rumours about the chance of signing them?

I wouldn't mind seeing a Kakuta goal also. Does anybody know somewhere they usually post highlights later?

With this early lead we should get to see 2 of the 3 youngsters on the bench at least, Borini, Kakuta, and Matic.

I understand that he needs time to develop and time is needed so things don't go to his head, but in the last couple games creating chances from the midfield has been an issue. Ya, Cole should start right now, but if the game gets to a point where nothing is happening, kakuta should come in and make things happen. His vision and passing ability is could be vital to the team.

Why haven't we seen him the last three games? He wasn't even on the squad list. With Deco being hurt now he has to be, at least, in the sub list. Is there a reason why he hasn't seen any action since he was playing so well in early Decemeber. Carlo has tons of praise for him and yet, hasn't seen any playing time since.

I agree Hamsik would be nice, but he is more of an attacking midfielder. He would take time away from kaktuta if the plan is to play Kakuta at the tip of the diamond. Also, he and Napoli have said he isn't going anywhere. He loves it there.

Maybe this topic should be in the rumour section but I didn't know. So.. with all the rumours going around about players that could come to Chelsea, most them being strikers, what are some realistic names of players that play midlfield? This is the postion that Carlo should be concentrating on getting. We seem to have more young strikers (Sturridge, Borini, and maybe adding Aguero) that can come in than young midfielders. Matic is the only one that can truely play right now.

It's not all Carlo. It is the fact that all of our midfielders are old and washed up. They can't go by anybody. KAKUTA PLEASE. They need to buy someone young and exciting for the wing.

It is time. There are too many aging geezers on this team that get too much playing time. Ballack is only good for when there is a fight. He contributes nothing to the game. Deco and Joe Cole are washed up. Lampard only scores on penalties. The older defenders aren't cutting it either. None of these older players CREATE CHANCES. They just move around and take up space. Somebody like Kakuta has to play much more. He creates tons of chances. Sturridge comes in the game today and instantly creates chances. It is time to start playing young guys like this and Matic. Also, we have to go out and buy some young midfielders. Some guys that can go past somebody, not just stop and pass the ball backwards like Lampard, Ballack, Deco, and Joe Cole.

Hasn't Kalou been rumoured to be leaving in January. I heard that Inter was interested him. Doesn't he also have history with Inter?

Ya, he turned 17 in August. I have heard rumours that they will be bringing him over in January. I have also heard that he has been playing well.

Didn't we sign Matej Delac this last summer? I thought he was considered to be the future replacement for Petr? I don't think Delac will be here until 2011, but you would think they can make due until then. What ever happened to Delac? Where is he playing now?

The back passing has been going on for the last 8 games or so. We have played very defensively and have relied on the counter attack. We never push the ball and attack like City did today. We rely on our D was too much and then Drogba bails everybody out in the end. We have to start attacking more.
