Like I said, he just doesn't seem like the player we need. I am much more impressed with the the French kid named Sylvain Marveaux, who plays for Rennes. He is only 23 and seems to be more of the Malouda type player, but from the right side.

But there are lots of people on this board that rave about Modric. WHat is so special about him? He doesn't seem like a guy that would make our team much better.

Can someone tell me why getting modric would be a good thing? I am not really familiar with him but I find it hard to believe that someone that has NEVER scored more than 5 goals in season would be work 25 mil. And I really wasn't that impressed when I did watch him this year. He is a solid player but not worth 25 mil. and I think there are much better options out there.

Seem like a player like Malouda, but from the right side. I think it would be a great addtion. He could probably replace Joe Cole and help out in the midlfield.

What are the expectations when it comes to players leaving and being brought it? Do we expect people like Deco, Ricardo, Ballack, etc. to leave in the near future or later in the transfer window? Also, do we expect to sign somebody quickly or wait until later in the transfer window?

Do you think Kalou will be leaving? You'd think with the possibility of adding a striker, and having sturridge, borini, and kakuta, somebody would have to leave.

Boateng better watch out during the World Cup. Aren't both Germany and Ghana in the same Group? The Germans will surely hold a huge grudge and will go after Boateng.

I don't want to get rid of Ashley either, but we do have Yuri. I personally feel that Yuri is a better attacker, with Cole being a better defender. That being said, I still feel Ashley is the best left back in the World. What are the plans for Yuri next year. I am really starting to like Yuri.

I agree with all of you that Aguero is a great player. The big BUT is that he wouldn't suit a 4-3-3. He is best as a "tip of the diamond" player, where he has the freedom to make things happen for himself and others. He can roam from side to side. In a 4-3-3 he would be stuck on one side. I think Aguero is a better player, but Pato is a better fit for the 4-3-3. It all depends on what formation they go with.

Its easy people. We don't want Torres. Yes, he is a great player. Top 3 striker for sure, but he doesn't fit our team. Drogba is in the middle and Torres can't play on the wing. I doubt we will switch back from the 4-3-3 after this year's success. Pato is the clear choice here. He can play out on the wing, which is his natural position and can play in the middle in the future. Plus, he would be a cheaper option than Torres and younger.

Loz you would be the idiot again for saying that Kalou has been the best player on the pitch. All of his goals recently have been tap ins. Don't talk like you know everything because saying Kalou has been the best proves otherwise.

I am not saying his a superstar like Drogba, Torres, or Rooney. How can you say 20 goals in his first year at Man City a flop? He had 17 at Real Madrid the year before. How is that a flop? Yes, he is very overpaid. The 31 million paid my Manchester City was foolish. 15 to 20 mil would be more appropriate in my mind. 20 goals in his first year in England is just as good as someone like Anelka. You can't tell you wouldn't want Robinho on this team. Everybody wanted him when he was rumoured to be coming here. He is a great player. He gets a bad rep because of the time at Man City. I would take him.

Neymar didn't make the world cup roster. BUT, he is the player that Chelsea should buy. He is the real deal.

I feel that Pato should be the number one target. He is a much better fit than Aguero. Pato can play on the right side in our 4-3-3, which Carlo will probably stick with to begin next season. Pato can also play in Drogba's place when he is not playing or when he retires. He is a perfect fit for what Chelsea are trying to do. It is not a knock on Aguero. He is a great player, but he is more one on one player and that is not the football that Chelsea plays.

Does anybody know why they decided not to wear next year's kit today and if they still plan to wear it in the FA Final?
