Chelsea vs Spartak Moscow (CL) 3/11/2010 1945 KO
He intercepted the pass, made two people miss and took the ball down 3/4 of the field before passing a through ball to Drogba. Who, instead of crossing it back to the middle where Ramires and Anelka were waiting, he slams it right at the keeper. Must of missed that one huh. And his passing is not woeful.

Are you joking? What about the amazing run he had that our attacker couldn't put away? Just because he missed 2 long balls you get all over him. You're a joke.

Chelsea vs Spartak Moscow (CL) 3/11/2010 1945 KO
The last couple games, along with the first half today, it seems like we are lacking creativity in the attack. We very rarely see the kind of through ball like the one we saw today to Cole.

Ya I realize that after I wrote it. Ha ha. Also, I never thought Spartak wear read and white so it would never happen. I really want to see the kit though.

Gael Kakuta in 1st Team
HE NEEDS TIME!!! One start and a couple other games where he gets 10 minutes isn't enough. Like Maverick said, Bale got time and he developed into a good winger. Kakuta doesnt have the luxery at Chelsea to get that time. As far as showing "something," ya he has struggled a little bit this year, but I thought he looked very good last year. He had a couple good games last year. On his debut he made some crazy moves on some people and almost scored. Another game he fed an amazing through ball to Yuri that he crossed and somebody scored. After that game, the forum was going crazy about what a talent Kakuta is. He has showed "something." Some people on this forum are just too quick to get on people. Give it time.

Sturridge
4 goals came in the fa cup.1 in a champions league game and 1 in the premier league. It is still impressive. You can't make excuses for that. When given time, Daniel has been impressive. If it were Drogba or Anelka playing the same games and scoring 6 goals people would say his form is great. You can't argue his production. Just because he hasn't scored in the games where he gets to play 5 min that's no reason to get down on him.

Sturridge
Here's a stat for you all that tells you a lot about Sturridge. Since coming to Chelsea, he has started 9 games. In those 9 games he has scored 6 goals. Thats really impressive. Ok his 21 sub appearances, where he only gets maybe 10 minutes to play, he has only scored 1 goal. Give him some time and he does impress.

Sturridge
Really think he is a great replacement for Anelka. He has the skills and quickness to play behind somebody like Drogba, but at the same time he could play in the middle if we needed him to. I really hope he is seen as a big part of the future. With rumours of new signings like Neymar or Lukaku, along with Kakuta and Kalou, where does that put Sturridge in the plans?

Roman interested in Guardiola
This article makes me laugh. Complete Bull! Besides, is Pep even that good of a coach? Anybody could coach a team like Barca. To be totally honest, with players like that, he should never lose and Barca haven't been playing that great this year.

Gael Kakuta in 1st Team
You know, it's comments like these that make me so confused. Last year at this time, most people were saying that kakuta should be starting some games. And others said that he should get the chance to play before Kalou. There is no way Kakuta is behind Josh. I would say his performance for France is a big sign that he is ready to step up. He needs more than one half to show his skills. Everybody gets down on him because of one half against a pretty good team? Don't get me wrong, Josh is good. I am also a huge fan of him. He will be a big part of this team down the line, but he shouldnt play before, the many many midfielders that we have already. (Lamps, Essien, Yuri, Mikel, Ramires. Thats not even including Yossi and Malouda who can play in the midfield.)

Joshua McEachran
I expect him to play exactly how he is playing. I expect him to show a lot of promise but make mistakes. I don't expect him to start games and yes, I have seen some posters say that he should. I see him getting as many chances to play as somebody like Bruma and PAV. I still see Kakuta getting more chances and I think it is more deserved at this point. Gael seems to be more established at this point. In the end, they are two very good youngsters that everybody should be excited about.

Joshua McEachran
Is anybody else reading these posts and thinking that some people are a little too obsessed with this kid. I mean he is good, but let's not get ahead of ourselves. I too, think he will be very good, but are we expecting too much too soon?

Kakuta
Are we really discussing the possibility of Kakuta leaving? There is no way he is going. Though some people have been very critical of him after one half of a game, he is still a potential star in the game. He is going to ne a big part of this club. He's not leaving.

I'm following along online without a stream, and the site commentator has said that he has missed some chances. Thanks

i can't watch the game but from what I have read, it seems like Anelka could have 3 goals by now

Is Sturridge in the squad? I thought he was out.

Is there a reason why Borini hasn't seen the bench much this year? It seems like he is dropping quite a bit in the pecking order. He is nowhere near as talented as Kakuta and not even close to being big enough for the PL.

Gael Kakuta in 1st Team
Why would Kakuta be considered a replacement for Drogba or lampard? Those are two places he should never play. Lampard stays more central and Drogba is a pure central strikers. Kakuta has to be played out wide.

Gael Kakuta in 1st Team
I am really disappointed with some of the people on this board. How can you go from saying Kakuta will be the next great player to totally writing him off? The same people see McEachran for 10 min and say he will be the next Lampard and should be starting some games. It is way too impulsive. I personally feel that Kakuta is still more talented than Josh and has a lot more potential. It's one game, some people need to relax a little bit.

Ramires learning his trade..........but its tough
Some of you people really need to learn how to relax and have some common sense. I agree with loz. You people that are bashing ramires after one game are just plain stupid. He was actually very good the first two games and he struggled a little bit against city. That doesn't mean you should jump all over him and say he will never be a good player in the premier league. Reading some of your posts makes me sick. I do remember last year when Lampard's form dipped a little bit and you same people were all over him. Saying he is getting old and slow. He then goes on to score how many goals last year and then the same people say he is the best midfielder in the league. Those people never learn. Ramires will be a GREAT player in this league. Give it some time. How can you expect a 23 year old kid to adapt to the "toughest league in the world" in 3 games?
-
Ramires learning his trade..........but its tough
"My biggest concern is the Ramires didn't complete any pass that I can remember - one give away after another. And he got knocked down on seemingly every contact he had with City guys. Will he develop better passing instincts? Maybe. Will he get stronger and tougher? Doubt it. I don't like to be so negative, but I would start any outfield player on the team ahead of him." Totally disagree. This kid isn't going to be essien overnight. He has been impressive so far coming from a less tough league and being so young. you get on after one bad game. That's not right. I agree that ramires, essien, and mikel can't play together. There has to be some creativity in there. Ramires should play on the left or right when either mikel or essien don't play. That way mikel or essien are in the holding roll. Give ramires more than four games before you start bashing him.
-
Where's Borini ?
Injured or not, I'm not sold on him. He isn't skilled enough to play out wide and he isn't big enough to play in the middle. He will meet play before Sturridge and Kakuta. That isn't even counting the normal attackers in Drogba, Anelka, Malouda, Kalou, etc.

Chelsea v Newcastle (CC) 22/09/10 19:45 BST
Wow, that's a little premature. Yes, Josh played well, but not to the point where he should be playing "20 games this year." Not with Lampard, Ramires, Essien, Mikel, etc in the midfield already. Let's not get carried away.

You must be kidding. How can you not be mad right now? Turnbull is absolute SH*T and so is Paulo. Turnbull should not be considered to play ever again for this team.
