People are saying kakuta should be dropped or sold just because of this transfer saga but what i have seen of his is impressing and personally he should he given a first team chance...Any opinions?

Who on earth has said that? No Chelsea fan that I know that's for sure.

He's one of the leading lights in our youth set-up, so to sell him would be madness!

That's ridiculous, he's one of our best young players for years.

Last year (before the transfer ban came about and he became well known), there were more than a few of us calling for him to get a sub appearance. (He got onto the bench once, iirc).

there you go, you should stick to the shedend and you cant go wrong.

The ironic thing is his ban has been lifted and straight away he's been included in the French U19s. Now if the French FA had a word in a certain chairman's ear this could all go away, if they don't it's another reason to declare war on France, just like in the old days.

Good balanced read even though it comes from Goal.com

Just went through it myself.

I hope this incident has fired him up and he puts in more effort than ever to break into the first team. He could well act as a third choice for the hole behind Deco and Joe Cole. He's got the ability, and I think I have said this way too often now. But seriously, what I've seen of him, he always looks determined and is trying to prove himself.

Does anyone think he could be in with a shout for starting against Blackburn in League Cup?

Could one of you omnipotent techies who can teletransport posts to the random thread at the drop of an irrelevance, please set your skills to altering the title of this thread to Gael KAKUTA.

Someone sees sense, reading "kukata" every day has irritated me to no end. ;)

what im just wondering about... is kakuta allowed to play because his ban is already over or is it because of chelsea´s general protest against the decision ?

Basically, German-Blue, it is my understanding that since they are unable to move ahead with banning Chelsea from signing anyone, and that the hearing has been postponed until next year they have lifted the playing ban on Kakuta too. I'm not sure if that means once we go back into litigation, then Kakuta's playing suspension starts again

His ban isn't over. Unless CAS judge in our favor Kakuta will have to serve the rest of his ban later on. If I'm not wrong he would be banned for another 10 weeks.

Hopefully we'll get off an he can continue playing or else that we all get a lower sentence so Kakutas ban might only be for a few more weeks.

I really hope that this wont be the case. I just think banning him from playing is totally ridiculous in general, it helps no one.

He was 15 when we signed him, I dont think that he broke the complex FIFA rules intentionally and I dont think that FIFA should expect players of that age to know there f**king rules anyways.

I really hope that Carlo will give him some chances as soon as this whole story is over.

gauls a grate player and looks a very promising player and should be breaking in to the first team in the next few seasons

Did OK against Blackburn. Looked bright and lively with some good touches. He was very tightly marked (especially after Kalou had to leave the fray) and made a couple of wrong choices (in common with many others on the night) and ran into a couple of blind alleys but looked good and you believed that something might happen everytime he got the ball. He also showed excellent commitment in his defensive work. A solid and promising display.
