Finally it's harder to take a decision... 
Went with Caicedo. I think he showed exactly what he came for and this quality gives you a lot in a team play. He was above everyone.

Surely transfers should work like this:
Chelsea:  We'd like to sign Moises Caicedo  please.  We're willing to play £60 million.
Brighton:  If we wish to buy Moises he will cost you £100 million.
Chelsea:  That seems a little steep.  We could probably stretch to £70 million.
Brighton: No, sorry old chap, it's £100 million
Chelsea: £75 million?
Brighton: No, £100 million
Chelsea, £80 million final offer
Brighton: No, £100 million
Chelsea: No can do.  So long and thanks for all the fish!
I'm with Coombsie we should walk away and look at alternative (ideally the guy Brighton have lined up as replacement - but I suspect that's Billy Gilmore 🙈}

I certainly DO NOT want Chelsea to bend over. In fact, I wish that Chelsea had exited this one horse race to sign Caicedo at around £70m and I considered that TOO MUCH. I want them to find an alternative who is much better value for money.

What I want and what I get from Chelsea transfer dealings are two totally different things. I just happen to think that Bloom has cottoned on to our desperation to employ a complete team of ex Brighton players. His valuation of Caicedo is universally considered to be "too high" for a player with one good season under his belt, yet we will undoubtedly pay it. Personally, I just wish we wouldn't !! 

I know we really do need a player in the Caicedo mould, but once, just once,  I would love Chelsea to tell Tony Bloom and Brighton HA to F*CK RIGHT OFF !!!!!

With the contracts they're on if they want them in their primes and they want to go bidding starts at a lot more than what we paid for them.

Seems a bit of an over reaction to a young player who has had a great loan season, breaking into the England team etc wanting to know his expectations for the season ahead, not sure why people are immediately jumping to conclusions that he's demanding to be first choice.

I wouldn’t call trying to clarify your position at work before you decide whether you want to move jobs as being high maintenance myself. More like the actions of a sensible person. 
 
Essentially a drama is being created out of something any rational person would do. 

Good luck to him.  I like Kova, his drive and energy, although he lacked a regular goal threat, however, those he did score were memorable.

At GK, I think we will sign someone capable of being #1 right now. If Kepa gets injured then an unproven Slonina, and a 3rd keeper like Bettinelli looks a bit lightweight to me. Emi Martinez for me., and a decent loan for Slonina. Martinez/Kepa to slug it out for the #1 slot, with my money on Martinez.
Defence :  Agree
Midfield :  Sell Gallagher and promote Casadei in his place. Otherwise agree. A tall and proven DM for the other signing. 
Wingers : Agree
Forwards : your trio is a bit too inexperienced for me. I'd send David Fofana out on loan and try to bring in someone more PL proven like Mitrovic.
 
In terms of the starting line up, I think I like Colwill ahead of Badiashile in the first instance.

Mendy / Kepa - in both cases we need keepers that Pochettino is happy with.  Keep both, let both go, not too bothered, both can be brilliant and awful.  Happy to wait for Slonina.   Kante / Kovacic - I'd like to have kept, but sounds like both are on their way. 😪   Aubamayang - Bye, bye   Pulisic / Loftus-Cheek - Bye, bye a few short spells of promise, between injuries. If we let Harvertz go we will regret it.  In two or three years we will be viewing him in the same bracket at KDB and Salah as ones that got away.  Play him as a 10 or attacking midfielder and he will shine, he is not a number 9.  Keep him, play him in a correct and he will be player of the season in the next few years.

Pochettino wasn't my choice at the start of this process.  In fairness I didn't have a string favourite being unsure how the likes of Nagelsmann and Enrique would adapt to the EPL, I would have been happy to go back to Ancellotti, but that always seemed unlikely.  However, over recent days from stuff I have heard (on radio/podcasts) and read I am warming to Pochettino as the next manager.  Spuds played their best football in living memory under Pochettino, and remember that in recent years those who have managed at both clubs have been much more successful at the blues 🤣

 Dont have to pay him extra just ball delivery into the box. Not popular opinion🤷
