Are we over estimating our youngsters ?
"Sturridge scoreed once in 19 matches." Where are you getting that from? According to ESPN he has scored 6 goals for Chelsea. your argument is total bull because you are accounting for the 10 min here, 5 min there. How are you supposed to make an impact when you only get to play the last 3 minutes because you came on to waste time in a close game? This has been the. awe for Kakuta and Sturridge. They deserve more time.

Article on our Youth
http://www.goal.com/en/news/1717/editorial/2010/11/15/2215691/comment-sunderland-show-up-chelseas-overpriced-back-ups-now Here's a good article about how our youngsters should be used more. I agree with this article big time. It is time to let Josh, Sturridge, Kakuta, Bruma, etc. show what they can do. Especially in a time where we have many injuries. If Bruma doesn't play CB before Ferreria, then when will he? If I were him, I would be pissed. Kakuta, in his 10 min here and there, has brought a different dimension to the game that no other person on the team can. Josh gives a playmaker who is very, very reliable. Sturridge has shown great potential, but never gets a single start.

Are we over estimating our youngsters ?
No way are we over estimating the youth. How can you overestimate players that hardly get chances to show what they can do. Sturridge can score but he gets 10 min here and there. Kakuta and create plays but he only gets 10 here and there.

Can somebody tell my why shifting Malouda back to the midfield isn't an option? It gives a stronger option there, plus we add another attacker up front. Kalou, Sturridge, or Kakuta? Thats what we need right now, more attacking play.

Are you kidding? Mikel is perfect for the defensive mid pos. Ramires plays out wide all the time for Brazil. He can play there, I personally feel he is better going forward anyway. He is too small to be banging around with the middle of the midfield anyway. Malouda can drop back or play the tip. We have Josh and kakuta who can play the tip. Kakuta would be perfect there. Yuri plays the mid obviously. There are plenty of options because Josh and Kakuta can play at the tip or in the wide midfield positions. Personally, I feel Josh's talents are wasted in a 4-3-3. He is playmaker and being stuck out in a wide midfield position doesn't let him work the middle like he can.

A 4-4-2 is ok, but it kills the possibility of Cole and Bos flanking from the D. The Diamond opens things up a little more so that the wide midfielders can go into the middle. Plus, I think it fits our personnel a little better. Bos.....Terry....Alex.....Cole ..............Mikel............... Essien....................Lampard .............Malouda............... ....Drogba...........Anelka..... Today could have been: Bos ...Bruma.....Ivan.....Cole ............Mikel................. Ramires..................Yuri/Malouda .....Malouda/Josh/Kakuta...... ....Drogba.............Anelka

I agree. I wouldn't mind going back the diamond. There is nothing from the middle of the field. Defences are forcing us into a trap before we can even get to a point where we can cross the ball. Maybe somebody like Josh, or Kakuta at the tip of a diamond will bring us some success. Malouda can play there too, if the trust isn't there for the youngsters.

Is Our Squad Depth Really Good Enough?
In the end, changes need to be made to the side. If Carlo is going to stick with the 4-3-3 he has to use different people. Our midfield is weak right now and it makes our attack weak. Move Malouda back to the midfield and why not try Sturridge up front with Drogba and Anelka. Maybe even Kakuta. You need a wing player that can go by somebody. Sturridge and Kakuta bring that. Ferreria should never be picked again to play CB and only RB if we need to. Bruma should be playing before he is. Bruma can play both RB and CB.

Spiller are you crazy? 5 goals in 6 games is terrible for a team that is on top of the table, especially when teams like Sunderland, a struggling liverpool, Wolverton, and Blackburn are in those games. Its not like were played 6 games against top 6 teams. These are middle to low teams. The attack is a big worry and if you are ignoring that, something is really wrong with you.

Well, for a team that has the goal of winning the CL this year, they better start playing with some urgency. If we play a team like Real Madrid or Barca right now they would kill us 6 or 7 to 0.

5 goals in our last 6 premier league games. THAT IS THE FRICKEN PROBLEM!!!! Our attack sucks!!

Chelsea vs Sunderland (PL) - 14/11/2010 - 16:10 GMT
ANYBODY USING THE "RAY FIRING" AS AN EXCUSE FOR LOSING TODAY IS A COMPLETE MORON. NO WAY!!!! THIS TEAM HAS BEEN PLAYING LIKE THIS FOR THE LAST 4 OR 5 GAMES. IT IS ALL TACTICS AND THAT FACT THAT OUR TEAM ENDS AT THE MIDFIELD. OUR ATTACKERS SHOULDN'T EVEN GET ON THE FIELD BECAUSE THEY DON'T DO ANYTHING ANYWAY.

Chelsea vs Sunderland (PL) - 14/11/2010 - 16:10 GMT
I agree totally.

Chelsea vs Sunderland (PL) - 14/11/2010 - 16:10 GMT
I am so sick of the excuses! People are either using the injury excuse or the inexperience excuse. Even with the injuries that we have, the team should play better than what we did today. It comes down to tactics and the 4-3-3 isn't getting it done.

MOTM vs Sunderland
Has to be Mikel. He, again, has done what is asked of him. Maybe Nigeria is right, maybe he should play more of an attacking role. He was the only one who looked like he cared today.

Chelsea vs Sunderland (PL) - 14/11/2010 - 16:10 GMT
Ya, where the hell was Sturridge? He scored 2 goals in the reserve game earlier in the week. He played with Kakuta, Josh, Bruma, and PVA. Those guys were on the bench. Sturridge was not. Could have used him today.

Chelsea vs Sunderland (PL) - 14/11/2010 - 16:10 GMT
Every game is the same. other teams have figured out the formation. we need a change in tactics

Chelsea vs Sunderland (PL) - 14/11/2010 - 16:10 GMT
The reserve team we fielded with Sturridge, Kakuta, Burma, etc the other day could have done better today.

Chelsea vs Sunderland (PL) - 14/11/2010 - 16:10 GMT
Drogba deserves a match rating of 2 today. I am fed up with his terrible lazy attitude. He hasn't moved once today.

Chelsea vs Sunderland (PL) - 14/11/2010 - 16:10 GMT
Carlo has to change the formation. The 433 is not working. we can't do anything offensively

Chelsea vs Sunderland (PL) - 14/11/2010 - 16:10 GMT
Drogba is pissing me off. he is so fuc*ing lazy.

Chelsea vs Sunderland (PL) - 14/11/2010 - 16:10 GMT
Ya that is our answer right there. Kalou completely missing the ball. great job.
-
Chelsea vs Sunderland (PL) - 14/11/2010 - 16:10 GMT
This team blows. ya our response is Kalou? That is no response. Roman better be watching cuz we need some new players. Our attack is way past their prime. we need a lot right now. Lampard can't change that much. ps. Drogba might be the worst.

Chelsea vs Sunderland (PL) - 14/11/2010 - 16:10 GMT
Ramires isn't the problem. He has to cover too much area because Boswinga never gets back on D.
