You know you got problems when you write this much about a game that hasn't occurred yet.

The 4-5-1 with our playes isn't a true 4-5-1. If we would play it, it would be more of a 4-2-3-1. The four defenders obviously. 2 holding midfielders, which is perfect for Mikel and Essien. You can advance the 2 wide players, which is where Anelka and Malouda would play. Lampard, when fit would be perfect for the middle spot. Other players would be good there too. (Josh and Kakuta). Obviously Drogba up front. .........................Cech............................. Ivan............Alex............Terry............Cole .............Essien.............Mikel.................... .....................Lampard........................... ....Anelka................................Malouda... .....................Drogba.......................... And yes, I think this is the move we should go with. It brings some creativty and passing to the middle of the field that we have been desperately missing. But it keeps the width of a 4-3-3 by keeping Anelka and Malouda wide.

The one thing love (sarcastic) is when one person throws a fit that we aren't playing the youngsters, but then throws a separate fit when Ramires is in the line up. Being only 23 and in his first year in this league, shouldn't he be considered a youngster? It would be different if he has had 3 or 4 years of experience in this league like mikel.

Very true. You think it would take a month? I'm sure some people would be saying he would be a waste if he didn't score in the first game. God forbid, we give a young player time to get used to the hardest league in the world.

I also agree. There has to be some spending. If we was to be better financially we obvioulsy can go spending like City every year, but bringing in one major player with one or two more complementary players isn't out of the realm. Ramires and Yossi are those complementary players and we didn't bring in any major players.

I saw the same interview. As far as "dodging a bullet," I have to disagree with that. I personally think that he is much, much better than Robinho. I have seen him play many time and he is a different player. I think with Robinho there was tons of hype and not a lot of production from him. Neymar scores goals all the time. He has impacts on every game he plays, including the national team games. I feel that he would be perfect to play out on the wing or as a second striker behind Drogba. His ability allows him to create for others and himself. After watching him many times, it seems he is a very underrated passer also.

Whether he starts or not, plays or not, he is wasted in that holding role. I personally feel that he is even limited out wide in the midfield also. He would be very good at the tip of diamond or in a 4-2-3-1 formation where his is in the middle of the 3. In a formation like that he would be able to make those creative passes from an attacking area instead of way back in defensive half. Can you imagine him in a 4-2-3-1 formation with Drogba in front of him and Anelka and Malouda next to him?

I agree. Either way though, he will have to open the checkbook for some players at some point. If he was sufficiency, he still will have to open the check book to buy some established stars to bridge the gap.

I agree with what you said. The one thing I would like to add is to your scoring goals point. It seems like we are missing A LOT in the middle of the attack. (in between Mikel and Drogba) It seems like our whole attack is from the wings and we hope to God that Drogba can get his head on a cross. There is no play from the middle and if there is it come from too far back by Mikel or Josh. Why can't we have a player play behind Drogba to create more. A Lampard, Josh, Kakuta style player. I really think the formation has to be tweaked. Maybe a 4-2-3-1? ...............Cech................... Bos....Ivan.......Terry.........Cole .........Essien.......Mikel............. Anelka......Lampard...........Malouda ................Drogba...................... When all is fit of course.

Sindre, why don't you just change your name to "RamiresHater." Ramires played much better than most players today. He was quick with the ball and we was good going foward. He was much better than Essien today. Essien did nothing for us at all. Actually, Ramires bailed Essien out a couple times after Essien gave the ball away. You would see that if you didn't have your head so far up Josh's arsh. The kid is good but not good enought to start a game against a team like West Brom, much less Spuds. You obviously don't know what you're talking about.

You are being so biased it it nuts. Your name gives it away buddy. You obviously have blinders on when it comes to the fact that Kalou couldn't hit an open net. Twice today he has been 6 yards out and has not even found the target. You can't argue the facts man. He can't shoot. Everytime he makes a good move, he should just pass it because his shots go directly into the stands.

Bringing Mikel on would be a stupid move. If he gets a yellow, he is out a match. Also, Ramires has been good today. He has been very quick with his passess and good going forward. If we want Josh foward, Essien should be moved to that spot. He hasn't given us anything going foward.

Who is asking for Mikel on for Ramires? Ramires has been very good this half. Quick passes, good going forward. I though Josh was very good with passes fowards. I feel he is not wasted, but limited in the holding role. I would like to see what he can do if him and Essien switch.

My God Kalou. At this point, I would be happy if he just hits the target. I would be happy if he hit it straight at the keeper. He can't even do that.

This is way off topic, but does anybody know why our kits don't have the adidas techfit powerband technology. Most other adidas teams have it. Milan, Marseiile, Liverpool, etc.

Yes, these decisions are very weird indeed. You would have to think that Sturridge, Kakuta, Bruma, and PVA are getting frustrated. Especially Sturridge. He has continuously seen mediocore play from Kalou and he never gets a good chance.

What does Sturridge have to do to get some actual time in a game. How has Kalou kept his starting job? And Paulo over PVA? Carlo is making some really dumb decisions.
