We may be potrayed as the 'deepest' squad in the EP, but i think were the most unbalanced squad ! With the injuries & individual players poor form its really shown us how weak & unbalanced the squad is. Well, to be honest I'm not too sure. At this moment in time I think he's a lot like Stevie G. He's made out to be a whole lot better than he actually is. Don't get me wrong he has all the tools. He can look a world beater on his day. But his day is normally against Wigan, Portsmouth and the like. I'm also 100% convinced he is not the bravest soldier in the fort. 100% Correct & the point of this whole thread is 'Robben is good enough for the free role'. But when Maka comes back move Essien to R/M, drop Sheva, unless he miraculously finds his form....but he looks miles off it !

Thats not going to happen. We havnt got any strikers suitable enough to support Drogba up front, so why waste the place in the team ?

Carrick plays the holding role well when required, Lampard & Ballack dont. Nonsense, with Sheva up front it's like starting with 10 men every week. Had to be said, i dont believe for 1 minute that Drogba will not perform without Sheva up there with him. Drogba doesnt need Sheva & neither does the team atm.

Drogba, seeing as he is the best in the EP this season at doing exactly that.

You cannot have Lampard AND Ballack with no defensive midfielder behind them, we would leave our center backs unprotected & it would be a disaster. Either of these pairs in the center would be ok in your formation, but not Ballack AND Lampard together with no cover behind. Lampard & Essien. Essien & Ballack. Ballack & Maka. Maka & Lampard. It also means Robben gets stuck on the left wing, when i think he's more feared when he alternates which wing he plays on & mixes it up a little. He used to switch wings with Joey often during games. Robben's speed is wasted when it comes from the same angle all of the time, if he is running at different angles into the opposing box, attacking different defenders from different angles it will create a lot more openings.

Robben should have free licence to roam both wings. His movement shifts defences off axis creating more openings for the midfield behind. Sheva just gets in the way !
