This coming from an American, I can tell you that he will experience zero racism at a mls game. I don't hate Henry nor do I really like him but I understand his statements. But I think his real reason for coming over here was because he's not good enough to compete on the first team of a top European club anymore.

Im wondering the same thing, i hear of people describing him as a holding mid fielder but he seems to have a nice scoring record.

No im a finance management major. Over here we use "residency" for the time Doctors spend working under other doctors for experience. I dont think i could do that many years of school lol.

^I agree completely. To say other black players arent heckled in italy is a joke. They go after Mario the most because his citizenship is with Italy and some ignorant people do not want to be associated with him. It's quite sad really. I think he is just very misunderstood and really needs a change of scenery.

^Thanks a lot mate, glad to be here. Im from south Florida, near Miami. And yes the college sports scene is a lot different from pro. Nice to see kids play out of passion rather then to play for money. The MLS is trying lol its still hard for me to watch a full MLS game unless its a club with nice fan support. I watch EPL football of course, Serie A and some budesliga.

I would be happy if Chelsea nabbed him. He may have attitude problems, but they all seem to stem from the same thing; the racism he experiences in Italy. Now its gotten to the point where i dont even think all the people heckling him are racist they just know he gets shaken by it so they boo him. But you have to put yourself in his shoes. Hes 19 and probably the best attacking prospect italy has, yet he doesnt even get treated well at home due to all the hate he experiences. He is hot headed at times and makes some bad decisions, but his talent cannot be denied. He's not playing in a league that can cloud stats( i.e Brazilian league and Belgium league) hes doing all his work in Serie A for the best club in the league. With some guidance i think he could be a world class striker. I really would hate to see another EPL team land him. Just my opinion.

Hey everyone, Im glad I found this forum, looks like a great place. I may not not have been following football as long as most of you but I have grown to be infatuated with Chelsea. Growing up in America i always played American football, basketball and baseball so i discovered "the beautiful game" a little late in life( about 14 years old) but i have been an avid follower of all things football since; im 20 now. I dont want to ramble on, so ill just say im happy to be apart of this forum and cant wait to discuss all things Chelsea!
