Great thread and very nice for those of use who weren't born in the 70s or 80s to see what it all was like back then. I found this photo and I don't think I've seen it in this thread. Looks like the Shed Boys are walking across the West Stand to give the away fans a warm welcome.

Agree with all the posts above. The season reviews in general, not just this one, are getting worse and worse. I remember the one from the double season when they weren't even bothered to show any of our five shots of the woodwork in the FA Cup final against Pompey. They just showed the goal and the two penalties. You would expect a bit more from a bloody cup final. The 2004/05 season review was brilliant, but from then one the quality of them has deteriorated.

Next season it will be: Public transport from home to Stockholm airport, two and a half hour flight, 40 mins on the tube from Heathrow or on Southern Rail from Gatwick. Takes about six hours door to door including waiting time at the airport. I prefer the 50 minute DLR + Jubilee Line + District Line journey I had last season.

My uncle started supporting Chelsea when he watched the 1970 FA Cup Final on Swedish TV. He flew over to England to watch his first game in 1978 and has been going a few times every season since. For my ninth birthday in 1999 he took me to see Chelsea play Sunderland on the first day of the season. We won 4-0 and I was hooked. A scary thought is that if Leeds would have won the cup final 41 years ago I would probably have been supporting them now.

Yeah the Fox is deffo a proper Chels pub. The landlord Ben goes to most games and is always up for chatting a bit about the Chelsea when I pop in there.

Not a waiting list as such. All you have to do is earn a certain amount of loyalty points and then you can buy a season ticket for the following season. To get a season tickets this season you needed 67 points from last season (see link below). In other words, if you went to all the home games last season (all competitions) it was possible to buy a season ticket for this season. Think it looks decent apart from that blue line in the middle. If they would have left that one out I would have been happy. Oh yes! Sweden's the best.

The West Brom game is yet to sell out and it's been a week and a half since tickets went on sale to members. It might go to general sale. I can't believe that seeing as it's the first game of the season for the defending champions. It should have been sold out on the first day the tickets went on sale. Tottenham and Arsenal have season tickets waiting lists with thousands of names on them. People have to wait for years, if not decades to get a season ticket at sh*te Hart Lane or the Emirates. At Chelsea all you have to do is attend a fair amount of games one season and then you can get a season ticket the following season. Let's face it. Our match going fan base isn't as big as we'd like to think.

Alright lads and lassies! I'm a new member at this forum which I didn't know existed until today. I've been a member at TalkChelsea and CFCnet for quite a few years but thought it was time to explore a new Chelsea forum. I hope I will enjoy my time here. A little bit about myself: I'm 20 years old and live in Stockholm, Sweden. I've been supporting Chelsea since 1998 when my uncle introduced me to the club. I made my first visit to the Bridge in 1999 and have been going a few times every season since. For the last few years I've been to about 8-9 games a season which is all I can afford living in another country. I usually go in the Fox and Pheasant and the So Bar before home matches and usually sit in the Shed End or the Matthew Harding Lower. Some of you might have seen my "Chelsea Loyal Stockholm" flag which unfortunately was lost at Anfield at the end of last season. I'm off to Germany on Sunday for the pre-season matches against Frankfurt and Hamburg and will then fly over to London for the Community Shield. Can't wait! Up the Chels! // Oscar
