2011/2012 season review (DVD)

Received mine yesterday and watched it last night, seemed pretty well put together would have liked more build up for the f.a cup final and champions league. I also wasn't keen on the commentators used, must have been from Chelsea t.v or something, the quality was poor and gave a kind of echo effect and they didn't seem like they were professional, often not knowing what to say. Anyway from watching the games back to back it showed me just how important Rami and Torres were for assists. Has anyone else bought this? If so what do you think?

Watched mine yesterday, yes it was good seeing how much Torres helped and the goas he scored, after the media constantly telling everybody how rubbish he is. I was not impressed with the lack of victory celebrations. I just feel it could have had more on it considering the year we ve just had.

In my experience the Season Review DVD's aren't ever particularly good. The Chelsea TV commentators are crap compared to Sky, although at least you get some passion out of Jason Cundy on the rare occasion that he does it.

I wish Sky would produce a DVD of our CL run. I reckon they would do a fantastic job with that judging by all the awesome montages they do throughout the year in the buildup to big games. Not to mention that their broadcasting of football games is pretty good all in all.

I agree. Just finished watching it and while (obviously!) it's a good watch, I think there could be so much more - especially having enjoyed so many of the videos posted here - we could do with the extended celebrations, bigger build up - and every time they went to a FA cup game they showed a bit of dancing in the dressing room - but you never get to see it properly. I've always felt the end of season reviews are essential but could be much much better! I wanted some of the bus tour and especially David Luiz singing Blue is the Colour!

Oh and running time is 117 minutes - not long enough, personally I always find it's mainly just goals and no real sense of the game.

My kids bought it me for Father's Day.

I have to be honest, I was a little under-whelmed with it. Like the other posters have said, there could and should have been a lot more celebratory footage considering the eventual season we had. Very disappointing.

I think the makers of the season reviews have always been quite lazy...they know that fans will buy it regardless so don't put any effort into producing a quality product...to hear that Chelsea's is this underwhelming, despite what footage they had to work with, is annoying to say the least...sad thing is I will still get it as I want a record of Chelsea's most amazing season

Agree with all the posts above. The season reviews in general, not just this one, are getting worse and worse. I remember the one from the double season when they weren't even bothered to show any of our five shots of the woodwork in the FA Cup final against Pompey. They just showed the goal and the two penalties. You would expect a bit more from a bloody cup final.

The 2004/05 season review was brilliant, but from then one the quality of them has deteriorated.

Just wondering if anyone has seen the Champions of Europe DVD?

Does it have the final on disc 2 or just extended highlights of the Barca second leg?

Does it have the proper commentators from the games or some amateur sounding Chelsea TV people?

Will have the moody Chelsea commentators. I'm keeping the Sky versions from all three legs with Neville and Tyler etc. By far the best there is.
