I was impressed by this lad Kaby. Strong on the ball and looks like he can run all day. And also, Billy Clifford has good vision. Hope he makes it to the first team in the near future. As someone else pointed out in another thread, I think Lukaku needs to shed a few pounds and become a lil more agile and quick. He had a couple of delicious through balls and his pace let him down. For a lad of his size he also needs to win more headers. IMO he has a long way to go to become a first team regular.

Instead of losing points in the last 5 mins, did we ever gain some in the last two years?! Ridiculous substitutions by AVB! Torres off at 70 minutes even though he doesnt have a game to play for the next 2 weeks?! I dont believe in the consolation that a point away from home at Mestalla. We were good for the major portion of the game and would have run a riot, if it were not for their man in goal. Was he on steroids or something?

I do agree that his form at Bolton was superb and I was looking forward to having him back at CFC as much as everyone. But I have to differ from u when u say 'he was very good today'. His positioning and intent when he was off the ball were very questionable, to say the least. I was concentrating on his play more than anyone else's. He was not going for balls that were 50-50 and he somehow displayed utter reluctance to play on the right flank. I have caught nearly 5 Chelsea players ahead of him on the pitch more than twice, considering we dont usually have a pacy counter attack..at least not in those particular moves I am referring to. All in all, disappointed with his performance. I sure think the lad deserves more game time but he needs to show the 'hunger' he has been talking quite a bit about, recently.

Are u saying that based on this game? Studge has not earned a start considering his display only today. Yes the alternatives to starting Studge are a lil questionable..but still not at all convinced by his performance today..especially after drawing so much attention and sporting so much 'hunger'

Of course he didnt want to be there! With the likes of Malouda who resist every chance to pick him up even when he creates enough space for himself, who would want to be there?! Again a lack luster performance from the side..but 3 points in the bag..

Why do we get all complacent is out of my understanding! Its not like our players have outstanding statistics to back them up for the last six months, that they dont need to press to find a lil fluency..

Exactly..people seem to miss how very ordinary he was..they even seem to think that the switch is to save him for the CL! He was just not there in the 2nd half, except for the goal..he was no where near the box even when we built up the play to have nearly 3 players in the box! Guess its just his way of showing reluctance to play on the wing, for all I know..

Is it only me or anyone else notice that Studge is running away from tackles..he is not in the least bit interested in going for a 50-50 ball! And IMO, Meireles and Lamps should switch places, if Lamps is allowed to even stay onfield! Hes losing out so many balls!

Why is anyone not troubled that Kalou was picked ahead of Lukaku?! Given the depth we have in the forwards (at least before the ACON), we should have given Lukaku a chance for the group stage instead of the Great Kalou. AVB looks weaker for the second time this season, but then it could have been worse.

A lil disappointed that hes not a done deal Guess it will surely be a January deal when Genk will be outta the CL. Hope the news of CFC being interested does not bring in competitors when we go back for him next season or in January.
