  1. We are the best club when it comes to giving a struggling manager a helping hand, I'm convinced that Arteta would have been sacked years ago if we'd beaten Arsenal instead of getting stuffed 3-0. Anyway, team should be below: Sanchez James Tosin Fofana Cucurella Enzo Caicedo Estevao Palmer Garnacho Joao Pedro
  2. This is my main issue with Maresca along with playing people out of position for no reason, he doesn't know how to switch games up once teams are on top against us. If his game plan from the start isn't working then we're screwed.
  3. I mean in the pub after a few beers where he doesn't have to toe the company line. As entertaining as it would be I can't see Palmer coming out on TV and saying this manager/the players aren't good enough. Although after the conference league final he did hint that Maresca's tactics were sh*t.
  4. I'd love to speak to Cole and get his honest opinion on whether he thinks the teammates he has aren't good enough or if it's the manager not being able to get the best out of them. To me it's a mix but more that Maresca isn't a very good manager, but it would be interesting to hear his perspective.
  5. This is where I disagree, classic Italian managers know how to set up a defence.
  6. Let's put aside the atrocious in game management which has no sign of improving, Maresca basically threw away the Brentford game in favour of this and we've ended up with a draw against mediocre dross and a loss against Bayern.
  7. I don't think we were as bad as some are making out, but there were some aspects where Bayern were far superior, the fact that they can bring on Kim who's better than any CB we have at the club is a giveaway. Maresca had absolutely no clue how to turn that game around when the chips were down.
  8. tactically Maresca has zero idea how to counter this Bayern team. I do sympathise though with how bad our defenders are barring Cucurella.
  9. Puts a sh*t lazy leg out and puts it into his own net, I'm aware that this is upsetting to the cult of Trev but he is not good enough to be starting for us.
  10. This James in midfield hill he's willing to die on is so weird. It's not as if we don't have options, Santos is right there!
  11. Without trying to sound like a dick, maybe actually watch him play instead of relying on graphs to form your opinion? I've personally never seen him play so I have no clue if he's any good or not.
  12. Tosin is a solid back up, but he should not be a starter for a team trying to win trophies and the same with Chalobah if we're honest. I do feel sympathy for Maresca because he was aware of this as well, but then I remember he put Fofana at f**king RB and the sympathy somewhat decreases.
  13. The guy is a f**king idiot if we're honest. Claimed that Joao Pedro wasn't 100% but he didn't put Guiu on the bench, he brought George on at half time despite him being almost sold on deadline day instead of our new winger, starts Fofana who hasn't started in about a year out of position when we had two RBs on the bench. I can't for the life me understand why some games he goes with the obvious things to do and it generally works, then some games he channels his inner Russell Martin and needlessly over complicates sh*t for no reason.
  14. The Maresca that we all know and hated from January is back. Get f**ked.
  15. I know that we fondly remember Roman's time here as we rightfully should, but we need to stop the revisionist history that everything was fantastically ran. Another set of sanctions because do the way we were doing business during his time here.
  16. Gets surgery on an injury with no return timeline. He truly is one of us.
  17. Could be because we needed a stop gap for when Paez and Quenda come in next season. I don't really know why people are bent out of shape about it, the guys a back up that cost £2m + £25k a week. From a Brighton point of view it makes less sense for them than it does for us.
  18. We've released him so I don't think we are, maybe have him a small payoff I'm not sure I have no idea, but I'd imagine Rosenior approved of the transfer I assume we thought he would have more offer over the summer so we could recoup some money but it didn't happen so we either kept him or sent him to Strasbourg and got him off the wage bill
  19. Wouldn't say it was amateur hour, we sent Chilwell to Strasbourg to get his big wages of our bill and he plays in the same position as Samuels-Smith so we decided it's better to send him somewhere he's going to play every week.
