Why Robbie should have played a reseve side today. We are still likely to be knocked out today, it is just the way our midfield has helped defend this season, as in not at all. At least with the reserves we would have protected our best players so we would have less chance being hammered by Barca. We needed Luiz for that game and looks like he is gone now, will he be the last?

If we get through to the final this will get ugly. The media will stir up all sorts of carp after the mins silence today, good verses evil battle with Liverpool yet again the victims and us getting screwed over to the joy of the rest of the country...

We do not need to worry about that so much this time imo. The last time out Guus had us playing very well and in that era we had an excellent squad of players who were very unlucky not to win a CL or two. Now though while Barca are still very impressive we are very poor in comparision to what we used to be. Our midfields ability to hold on to, and create with, the ball is abysmal so we will keep giving the ball back to Barca who will find ways to get in beyond our defence. I doubt this time they will need help from the ref.

I had a feeling that Liverpool would win the cup double after their pen win against Cardiff. As much as Torres scoring a winner for us against them to win the cup would be amazing, losing to them in the final with Torres subbed after 69 mins or whatever would be a 180 in terms of gutting. Would be far less painful losing a semi, as Moscow and the final against Arsenal last long in the memory, much longer than any semi defeat.

Our midfield is awful, so having one less of them in there might be a good thing using the diamond lol... Cech, Paulo, Cahill, JT, Cole, Mikel, Lampard, Ramires, Mata, Torres and Drogba maybe. tbh though we seem to be just scraping by of late and am not expecting good things from the up coming big 4 games...

Speculation is that JT and Lampard are to return for the Fulham game but Ash is a bout for both of the up coming Semi-finals.
