  1. I was really put off by this. it did not convey a sense of team pride from Mikel. it read as narcissistic and entitled. I thought it showed poor character tbh.
  2. Great addition to the cabinet. particularly pleased that we get another shot at the super cup. On a different note... what is the deal with Mikel and trophies. when we were getting ready to lift it, he had made his way to the very front and was clutching it for dear life. he did the same thing with the champions league trophy last season. I mean it's one thing to be proud, but there's a tinge of entitlement in there that rubs me the wrong way. anyone else notice it?

um... Torres, Mikel, and Luiz I reckon
  4. Great to fight back and win this despite woeful refereeing. what else can be said about Super Frankie Lampard? amazing achievement, and well deserved. however, everyone's going on about CL being secured/assured/guaranteed... unless I'm mistaken, we still need an important point against Everton for it to be assured. otherwise we're going to be having playoffs in eastern Europe next season to qualify.
  5. Luiz got the better of Rafael. In a battle of wits, Sideshow Bob won. ("Baaaaaart"). Rafael knocked him off his feet with a kick. But instead of rolling around covering his face (like a certain Spanish bucket who shall remain nameless) he laid on his side and smiled. He wasn't deceiving anyone, he was facing the linesman lady ffs. And it's not like he was relishing in the red card either, as it hasn't been given yet. I just think Luiz takes the game seriously, and got some satisfaction from getting a rise out of his opponent. Plus, Luiz and Dave are always smiling.... God help them for having personalities.
  6. Couple of free kicks should have been given maybe, but nothing too game-changing. I'll be happy if Webb doesn't award utd a penalty this match.
  7. but if jose comes back, that super cup would be against pep and the media would eat it up.
  8. looks like I'll be going to wembley! friend of a friend of a friend had a spare. where's a good place to go beforehand? any tips on the stadium itself for a first timer?
  9. At this point, I suppose I'll be looking for touts at Wembley. I've got my eyes on the CFCTickets website just in case. If any member of the Shed End community has an extra or spots an opportunity, please DM me as I would be very interested in going. Thanks a million!
  10. I don't want to hijack your thread or anything, and I know this site isn't a box office, but I would also like to attend this game. I will be visiting London from overseas on the match day, but I do not have a membership. I would be happy to meet a member of the Shed End community if someone has an extra (so long as chelseasam101, the OP, has found what he is looking for).
  11. How does Club Wembley work? Went to the website but it wasn't too clear. And how far are we pushing the boat out? Don't know if I can get a second mortgage on the house on such short notice... :)
  12. Looks like I'll be trying to get tickets to the FA cup semi at Wembley. (Woohoo!) Any advice on getting into that?
  13. Seems like a great resource. Thanks linesy! Do you guys use Craigslist in the UK? I've gotten concert tickets from there in NY. My biggest concern after the cost is, are the tickets genuine? And if there's a lot of counterfeiting, maybe it's not worth taking the gamble...
  14. I was afraid that would be the case... Anyone have experience doing so? Not that I espouse the practice, but should I obtain tickets that way, what should I expect to pay? Are there a lot of counterfeits floating around outside stadiums?
  15. Hello True-Bluelievers... I am a massive fan based in New York. The wife and I are taking a trip in April that will take us through London for a few days. In all her grace and charity, she suggested we try to see a Chelsea match while we're there. Unfortunately, I don't know how to get tickets. We'll be in London for two matches: the as-yet-undetermined April 14 fixture (Either Spuds at the Bridge or City at Wembley), and Fulham away. Obviously, it would be a dream to see us beat Spuds at home or smash City at the house that Drogba built, but I would be happy to see Chelsea play anywhere (seen them in the States twice). I don't have a membership this season, so am at a bit of a disadvantage there. Would any of you kind souls have any tips on how/where to get a pair of tickets on short notice? Hopefully without breaking the bank? If they're really pricey, I'll probably just get one. Also, any tips on seating sections? I want to experience some atmosphere, but need to be mindful of the lady's sensibilities.
