No-one was outstanding, but Moses, Costa, Cahill and Cesc were IMO better than the rest. Props to Cahill for coming back from a head clash to head in a goal. Moses' cross to Costa was pretty much perfect and he played with the sort of dynamism that he displayed in October-November. I'll nominate him.

A fairly middling performance against a well-drilled Hull side. Marco Silva is a quality manager so his Hull side giving us a tough fight was not a surprise. If Liverpool play like they did against Swansea they'll likely suffer another reverse, but I expect them to be fired up against us. Our performance wasn't that great, but theirs was worse. They'll also be missing Sadio Mane, who IMO is one of their best players. I reckon we should play a 3-5-2 against them to prevent them from overpowering us in midfield with their hyperactive pressing style the way Tottenham managed to and give us a shot at dictating terms. I'm not too worried about Arsenal, especially playing at Stamford Bridge. This season they often haven't looked all that convincing (*cough* Burnley *cough*) and they rarely play particularly well at Stamford Bridge. They will most likely play a fairly open style and not press as aggressively as Liverpool, so we can just play 3-4-3 and pick them off on the counter. Willian is very good in those types of games. Overall, I must say this weekend was a big success. Swansea overturned Liverpool at Anfield, while Man City, Tottenham and Man U were all cancelled out. Only Arsenal got all 3 points, and that was a ref-induced win at home against much weaker opposition.

Cahill does pop up with the odd goal, doesn't he? Hull were putting up a fight - clearly they've improved substantially under Marco Silva. Their survival this season wouldn't be a surprise.

I've noticed that we've sometimes looked mediocre during the first half (Crystal Palace anyone?) only for someone to pop up and grab a goal - and that someone always seems to be Costa.

Terrible to see a player get injured like that. Hope Ryan Mason pulls through.

Arsenal aren't really a title threat - they deliver performances like that too often.

No Cesc? Against Hull at home? I get the feeling they won't be in too much of a rush to go forward.

If Mou wins a title, it's invariably in his 2nd season. He's never as good in his 1st season as his 2nd with a club (except Chelsea the first time around).

Golden opportunity to establish a massive lead vs Liverpool. Hull's new manager, Marco Silva, is well regarded so I would expect him to play better against us than Mike Phelan's side did back in October.

Well, to answer this question, one must first ask themselves: 1) How many points will we most likely obtain? 90 or higher wouldn't be a surprise. ATM we are on course for around 95. 2) How many points will our rivals most likely obtain? The Top 6 will most likely obtain 75-85 points each, possibly a little higher. 3) Will our rivals be affected by fixture pileups more than, or as much as us? All of them except Liverpool have European commitments later in the season. Liverpool still have the League Cup to contend with. 4) How strong is our squad relative to theirs? Our squad depth could be better, but our first XI is IMO the best in the division. The lack of squad depth is mitigated somewhat by the lack of games. 5) What is our current advantage on the table? 7 points - a reasonable lead at any stage of the season. 6) Is our manager a proven winner, or does he tend to fall short? Definitely the former. 7) Where do we still have to play? Anfield, Old Trafford and Goodison Park will each be tricky. 8) Are we good at killing off weaker teams (crucial to any league victory)? Almost perfect as things stand. Overall, I would say we are certainly favourites to win the title ATM based on the above factors, but there remains a possibility that we could let things slip. We must not be complacent.

Tottenham are playing at pretty much their peak ATM whereas City aren't playing anywhere near it, that's the difference. I do think that Tottenham's defence is on paper better than City's, although on paper I would take City's midfield/attack.

And Man U and Liverpool cancel each other out! Everything is going to plan...

This Tottenham side is better than any other I have seen. However, something tells me they will ultimately fall short in the end. Maybe because Pochettino pushes his sides so hard that they tend to burn out towards the end of the season. It happened with Pochettino's Southampton in 2013-14 and it happened with Tottenham last season, just as they looked like they could win the PL. Also man-for-man, I'm not convinced they're better than the rest of the chasing pack. Tottenham could come 2nd, but equally I wouldn't be surprised if they finished 6th. They won't finish below 6th, but equally if they win the whole thing we would have no-one to blame but ourselves. It would scarcely be less shocking than Leicester winning the whole thing was last season.

Leicester are a shadow of the side they once were, but they are still capable of causing problems. Great response after the Tottenham setback. Alonso...wow. He's really fired up today and made a statement after Ake's return from loan.
