Michy Batshuayi to Chelsea
He's a good poacher, I will say that much. Even if he disappears into the Mystery Spot tomorrow, we'll always remember him for clinching the title.

David Luiz back at Chelsea
He's really progressed from the madcap defender we saw in his first spell here. Conte deserves credit for playing him in a position which maximises his strengths (long passing, vision, forward movement, energy) and minimises his weaknesses (defensive positioning) but his decision making has also greatly improved. All up, he deserves to be a Chelsea favourite if not a legend.

No more scepticism here. No sirree Bob.

I've been up for most of the night! I drank several cans of Coke Zero to be up for this!

WBA Vs Chelsea (PL) Fri 12/05 2017 KO 20:00 GMT
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=04854XqcfCY A message from Queen. I'm of course chuffed. I had almost given up on the win actually; seemed like it wasn't going to be our night. Who would have thought that Michy of all people would score the winner? Here is a guy who has been ignored for most of the season and yet he still comes up trumps. WAG. Maybe not our best PL win ever, but definitely the most unexpected. In September I was questioning whether we could make the Top 4 after getting reamed by Arsenal. So here I conclude by saying: WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS!

I'm surprised that Kante hasn't slotted back in. Does Conte have concerns about his fitness?

Marcos Alonso
I actually thought he was decent during the first half of the season, but he's really stepped up his game in 2017. His defensive positioning has improved, his free kicks have become a real threat and even his finishing has improved. Of course he still takes forever to accelerate but overall he's been a shrewd buy by a shrewd manager.

WBA Vs Chelsea (PL) Fri 12/05 2017 KO 20:00 GMT
We should win this - WBA has had a good season but Pulis' sides always drop off after securing survival. I still expect Pulis to at least try and park the bus because it nearly worked last time we played them, so I would play Cesc/Kante instead of Matic.

Yes, people in the modern-day Anglosphere sometimes forget that footballers, like other human beings, are not economic units, nor goods. It is not necessarily easy for them to move from place to place for various personal reasons.

Chelsea Vs Boro (PL) Mon 08/05 2017 KO 20:00 GMT
Big win. I didn't get to see this game, only some of the highlights. I must say that Cesc's pass to Costa was (unsurprisingly) great, Alonso's finish was sharp and that Guzan really didn't have a very good day. Did Middlesbrough attempt to attack at first like I predicted?

Typical Arsenal. When it looks like they will lose out on Top 4, they lift their game. At least supporting Chelsea isn't so laughably predictable.

Chelsea Vs Boro (PL) Mon 08/05 2017 KO 20:00 GMT
Swansea have won, I see. Middlesbrough may well be even more attacking than I had anticipated because a draw now is unlikely to be good enough - not since they have to play Liverpool at Anfield.

Chelsea Vs Boro (PL) Mon 08/05 2017 KO 20:00 GMT
Yeah it's always difficult to predict how sides may respond to opportunities to stay up. They'll either attack like they did against Man City or simply sit back and try to nick a goal off us. Given their unfavourable position and the lure of a carrot should Swansea lose or draw, I reckon they will be more attacking than normal when we play them. They may try and grab and early goal and then park the bus because their defence looks good among the Bottom 12. Cesc/Matic should watch out. Given our relative defensive struggles, they could try and wait for us to make a mistake, but by the time we do they may already conceede 2 goals. If I was them, I'd try to attack through the midfield in the first 20-25 minutes and try to grab a goal in light of Kante's absence and the relative fragility of the Cesc/Matic partnership. If a goal wasn't forthcoming, I would retreat and just seek to nick a goal if I could.

I can almost taste the league win now.... Come on Chelsea - one final push will do it.

Chelsea Vs Boro (PL) Mon 08/05 2017 KO 20:00 GMT
Sucks that Kante and maybe Luiz are out. Still the Cesc/Matic combination was enough to see us past Bournemouth. It should account for Middlesbrough at home, even if they fighting for survival. Hope we don't become complacent.

Hey weren't Tottenham gonna take out the title and win like 20 PL games in a row or something? At least that's what the media told me LOL. Glorious result. Let's make it count by burying Middlesbrough and West Brom.

*Official* Pedro to Chelsea
He's overall had a very good season after a rather inauspicious start. His worldie goals might be the difference between 1st and 2nd yet. Willian is quicker, more technical and takes better set pieces but he doesn't possess Pedro's movement or finishing.

Should be winning this handily you would think.

Everton Vs Chelsea (PL) Sun 30/04 2017 KO 14:05 GMT
An absolutely fantastic result. This was the one game where everyone thought that we would either draw or lose, especially given Everton's rock-solid home form. Instead, we come out with a big win. I have to tip my hat to Pedro - he's scored some absolutely crucial worldies this season. That may yet be the difference between 1st and 2nd at this rate. On another note - f**k you Arsenal. At least this win might have deflated Spurs. We should be aiming for 4 in 4 to wrap up the season. We're definitely good enough to do it.

Everton Vs Chelsea (PL) Sun 30/04 2017 KO 14:05 GMT
Oh this will be tough, especially with our defence leaking goals. Win this and IMO we've almost certainly won the title, but Costa/Hazard will need to fire at the very least.

Eden Hazard - Chelsea Legend
If we win the title, he'll quite possibly be the main reason why.
-
Diego "the guv'nor" Costa
Seems that 'dropping' him for Batshuayi was the right move. His second goal was classic Costa - knocking defenders out of the way before slamming it into the corner.

Finally the drought is over. Maybe that 'drop' for Batshuayi sent a message to him. He has looked better today than he has of late.

Chelsea Vs Southampton (PL) Tue 25/04 2017 KO 19:45 GMT
Hazard is a champ. That's his highest number of PL goals in a season for us.
