Chelsea Vs Boro (PL) Mon 08/05 2017 KO 20:00 GMT

Well, our mission is very simple. Three victories from the next four matches. Need not worry what Tottenham does or does not do.

Win. Win. Win and the title is ours to keep.

Go ahead and assume the lead has been cut to 1 point before we kickoff. Just take care of our own business.

Focus.

Come on you Chelsea!! :bluescalf::bluescalf:

I hope our lads keep their concentration and don't think a minute ahead. Boro is not easy but we should win them at home. Hope the level of confidence keeps us firing with all cylinders.

don't expect Boro to just roll over, they're still fighting to avoid relegation, and this match can be their season decider. if they lose and Hull gets anything in their next fixture, Boro's out

this is more than a winnable game (whatever that means ha!) because boro are flat up top and it's at the bridge. on paper it should be a easy win for us, but we all know chelsea's form can be up and down like a hooker's panties.

this game will be far from easy. boro are 8th defending team in the league. they tend to press not just park the bus. they have former city player negredo who scored two beautiful goals against his former side. they're quick in the counter and unpleasant from break plays. just watching the game against city. they play on the edge of permitted so the ref will be segnificant factor in this game. knowing fa refs they always allow 'weaker' sides to get away with dirty play. don't forget they're playing for their lives.

we tend to struggle against this kind of play so hope we keep our cool. fingers crossed.

One banana skin we can't slip on. Can't believe I'm worried about playing Boro at home but this is the world we live in now.

If this weren't in the run in I'm sure many of us would be more confident. When you're getting to that final hurdle you just see every game as a possible banana skin. It's natural to feel that way.

Hull are at home to Sunderland on Saturday, if hull win then boro will be 9 points behind with 3 to play, as good as gone, so surely deflated,we just need to concentrate on this game,1 game at a time as they say

That is the thing about it. Sure if it was September we wouldn't be worried about it but we need 3 wins and at this point they will probably also need 2 or 3 wins to stay up. On the bright side we should beat them but it makes it tricky when they are fighting for their lives. Hopefully there is not let down after beating Spurs and Everton since the players likely saw those two as the last 2 hurdles to 2 trophies. I have sincere doubts anyone in the team will be worried about Arsenal in the final or the remaining 4 of Sunderland, WBA, Boro and Watford. Which is probably the reason this game worries me a little.

Still confident we dominate the match but we also dominated Palace and look how silly that turned out. This would all be so much easier if Spurs would have drawn Palace last week. I'm not sure if it would be better for us to watch them drop points against West Ham or if it would be better for them to win and keep the pressure on.

Ironically if Boro snatched any points from us, it would make Hull absolutely desperate for points on the last day of the season, when they play at home to Spuds.

are there any updates on Luiz's condition? recovery from groin injuries usually take time.

Apparently it's not serious and he should be OK for Boro. I will take this opportunity to express how much of a gladiator he has been this season, playing through the pain barrier, leadership, and finally a maturity to his game ::clap2::

You beat me to it

It's a shame Boro need something from this game as much as we do, as they showed against City they're not necessarily going to be a pushover. However, being away from the Riverside and at the Bridge will hopefully take the edge off them, and let's face it, we're a better team than City overall this season. I'm sure it's been said that we have several 'cup finals' left, but I'm confident Conte can keep everyone focused, and our squad is full of experienced winners so hopefully that sees us through.

3 wins in 8 days, competition for places as the assault on the league progresses with a FA Cup final looming straight after suggests to me we will win though it might be cagey as Boro fight to survive in the EPL.

The fact that Spurs play before us might be a deliverance. If they close the gap, we will be fired up for this one and help us avoid any complacency.

One might have been worried if this was away, but at home I feel confident. The Palace game was an anamoly.
