  1. Confirmed by Di Marzio. http://gianlucadimarzio.com/en/chelsea-join-the-race-for-real-madrids-danilo-the-latest As I said before, I was vehemently against Danilo when someone suggested it on here a few weeks back but I've had time to think and I've come around to it. Wouldn't be a bad signing at all, especially for that price (considering what we're about to pay for Sandro).
  2. Lukaku was there for the taking. We were the only ones really in for him for the longest time. Why didn't we wrap it up if that's the case then? City badly needed a new GK and they got him. They needed a new attacker and they got him. Arsenal badly needed a new CF and they got him. Doesn't matter what's happened with their Lacazette scouting in the past, the fact is, they got him right now. You can't use those as excuses.
  3. It's puzzling to me. I've not watched him play live matches before, only seen those 12 min season reviews on YouTube so I won't really judge him much but nothing really screams out to me from what I saw. If we're not signing a player who's a clear and huge upgrade over Pedro/Willian then what's the point?
  4. Not really. We're f**king fantastic when it comes to selling players. Signing players though is a whole different ball game for Marina and co it would seem.
  5. Is there a link to this?
  6. What makes him better than Willian and/or Pedro?
  7. It's actually very laughable considering you can put together a worse compilation of Costa's own mistakes and he wouldn't look as good as a pub player.
  8. He didn't really think his trolling through.
  9. But apparently, according to certain folks on here, fans who are worried are spoilt. Amazing, isn't it?
  10. Complete load of nonsense, you and your rubbish posts. Why didn't you come in here to refute the BBC and Sky reports that we put in a bid yesterday then? Don't start some Nostradamus rubbish here. Alright oh knowledgeable one and powerful insider, who are we actually going to sign then? Tell us now so we actually know for sure. While you're at it, since you're involved in these negotiations, tell us Conte's mood. Tell us why Conte according to very reliable Belgian media was texting Lukaku for the past 2 weeks, or is that untrue too according to you? Give us a full breakdown of everything you supposedly know then. I really hate fans who sit behind a computer and act like insiders. You don't know sh*t. Please shut up. We're not kids here.
  11. Waiting for those who are going to insist he wasn't our first target. Incompetence at its finest.
  12. Yeah I'd rather a player who's on form for 80% of the season even if he scores less. At least he won't be f**king up our attacks time and time again. He also won't be embroiled in f**king needless controversy that can ruin team chemistry. Crazy idea but it seems there are such strikers on the market. Maybe I'm just crazy though and chaos is a normal thing for strikers. :)
  13. ......which is like 30% of the entire season. No thanks.
  14. Diego Costa is not signing a new Contract and Chelsea won't give him one either, not while Conte is manager. The earlier you move on from Costa, the better. Stop letting the bloody Mirror and Sun give you a false sense of hope. He's gone. He'll be playing for Atletico next season. That's that.
  15. How are some of you happy with a hypothetical situation of Costa staying? You want an "I don't care about anything here, I'm just waiting till January to join Atletico" Costa? He's gone. Accept it and move on.
  16. Very silly nonsense from CFC tbh. We've known for 7 months that Costa was leaving and we've known we'd go after Lukaku but somehow didn't make a bid until today. But some fans still buy the "best executives in football", "Lukaku wasn't the first choice" nonsense being spouted by Jake Cohen and Dan Levene.
  17. Take off your tin foil hat. No one would spend 90 odd million just to spite another club. That's not how it works in football.
  18. I think it's more prevalent in sports media and entertainment media as they know it has no serious repercussions. But to be fair, I agree with the general idea of what you're saying.
  19. So you pretty much say I have no clue what I'm talking about because my conclusions are "based on no information" while making your on conclusions based on absolutely no information. How does that work?
  20. They didn't make any major sales last summer when they spent similar figures though. In fact, they haven't made any major sale in quite a while. They could still let his contract run out. If they get Lemar from Monaco then I think it's more possible. But absent of that, Sanchez probably will stay.
  21. You're basically disregarding anything on Twitter without even bothering to know any of the journos I mentioned and their track record. If Sky or BBC post something first on Twitter before it goes on air does that mean they're just throwing something at the wall to see if it sticks too? No offense meant to you at all but I think your opinion on this while largely valid is still mixed with ignorance on who to trust on Twitter. Unless they're freelance journos, they still have to write whatever news they break on Twitter on their various publications or take it on air. The only difference between 10 years ago and now is that information moves a lot faster because of social media. Of course idiots will take advantage of it for a few clicks. That's when it's up to you to know who's talking bollocks and who isn't. Those I've mentioned 90% of the time do not (for Boufasi, I can comfortably say 100% of the time, he doesn't). It's your choice if you still feel the need to disregard everything on Twitter though. To each his own. A GREAT window to me is locking down ALL our first choice targets (in all the positions we need) quickly and early so they can join our pre-season tour. This already isn't a great window but hopefully the board aren't too stupid to make sure it's still a good window. I've put my faith in the board too many times and got let down so my cynicism is directed at them this time.
  22. One of the worst clubs to deal with in the league. Just awful. I hope we've moved on from Lukaku. Not about to deal with Everton's nonsense.
  23. Yeah Morata is definitely NOT a safe bet mate. Far from it. He has a lot to prove, no matter how much you try to skew the stats.
  24. One minute you want one person to read between the lines, next minute you don't care what another person's eyes tell them. Confused much?
