Sportsmail can reveal the secret of new Chelsea manager Guus Hiddink's immediate success at Stamford Bridge.

The Dutchman guided the Blues to a crucial 1-0 Barclays Premier League win at Aston Villa on Saturday, and intends to take his initial good fortune into tomorrow's crunch Champions League tie at home to Juventus.

But it wasn't just the Russia head coach's supreme tactical nous that saw Chelsea to victory against a resurgent Aston Villa side, there were magical forces at work as well.

Hiddink recruited American illusionist David Blaine for a team bonding session at Stamford Bridge last week and, as these pictures show, it seems to have done the trick.

Brilliant, nice to see the whole team together.

I see he didn't make Malouda disappear though.

Nice to see Stoch and Di Santo there too.

Hah, great pics, thanks for sharing. I had a coworker who actually sold a trick to david blane recently....at least so he said.

I love Riccy Q's indoor scarf look, and it looks as if Di Santo has kept his training gear on. Oh kids (who are like 2 years younger than me)
