Guest bigjockknew
Strachan has left Septic - who do you think, if you care, will come next. The stupid brigade have already begun with a whole host of names that will never consider it. Theres a guy at my work who honestly thinks that Hiddink will go there - a staff member not a service user...theyve asked to speak to Roy Aitken (probably as Asst) but thats about there level. The only criteria (from Celtic fans) is that he "is one of them". Strachan wasn't so three out of four titles and taking the last to the wire and decent enough runs in Europe aren't good enough. Personally I hope they get the kiech manager they deserve but wondered what others thought of our most hated Scottish team's bid for a new tattie muncher in chief
loz
Owen Coyle and Tony Mowbray seem to be the firm favourites. Personally I think it will be Coyle but I actually think Mowbray would be the better choice for them despite what has happened to West Brom this season. Theres a guy at my work who honestly thinks that Hiddink will go there Do you work at Carstairs?
geezer
Slaven Bilic has apparently expressed an interest in the job

Feels like it sometimes - he's quite a sensible guy apart from his allegiance. I don't think Coyle - why train your horse to race against thoroughbreds then enter a two donkey race. Mowbray more probably - he's getting nothing to spend and been told to get rid of a third of his squad and he has serious Celtic conections, as well as personal with his late wife. Mark McGhie has been touting himself for ages but I don't think he's a big enough name for them - they honestly think they have their pick
loz
Owen Coyle bleeds Celtic though and apparently has already said he wants the chance to talk to them.
loz
Slaven Bilic has apparently expressed an interest in the job I read that as well and I think it would be a good move for him. Bilic had 60 seconds of fame as a manager and somewhat ridiculously it led to him being linked with every vacancy going. That has all died now and he is probably willing to jump at any chance available and the Celtic job would provide him a reasonably high profile job but in a league that isn't competitive. If Strachan can win three back to back titles and nearly make it four then Bilic probably thinks he has a good chance of rebulding his credibility before getting a job in England. The only room in my house that would see a hoops top is the bog or kitchen for cleaning the floor with

TheWestwayWonder
I dont know much about Coyle, but to get a capable manager (which he obviously is given what Burnley have done) who loves the club can only be a good thing. Especially if he is making inquiries already. Bilic wouldnt be a bad choice either. It might be my dislike for Mobray, but in a club where the board and supporters have such a big voice, I doubt he would last very long.
loz
Mowbray has two main advantages over Strachan. 1. The Celtic fans love him 2. He does try and play a passing game irrespective of the results it is ending up getting. At Celtic he will get away with that in the way he didn't at West Brom because he will be doing it with a squad that is good relative to the other squads in the league.
