Posted June 18, 200916 yr Received my season ticket this morning, have a provisional fixture list (until sky get hold of it) etc. :P Very excited once again. What is noticeable though this year is. 1. No welcome "pack" like we used to get. 2. Both season tickets for one household were sent in the same envelope 3. No letter from Peter Kenyon with it just a small letter from COO recommending we look on the website for most of the details. (this might have been the same as last year) 4. No special delivery, in fact think it was second class post. Not complaining, rather we spent aour resources elsewhere just sign of the times I think, but makes me wonder if we will be spending much on players.
June 18, 200916 yr I know you're not complaining, but I'll comment anyway. :) 2. Both season tickets for one household were sent in the same envelope Very sensible. Cuts down on the packaging and postage costs. 3. No letter from Peter Kenyon with it I think they've finally realised that the less Chelsea fans have to deal with Kenyon the better. :P 4. No special delivery, in fact think it was second class post. If they're sending them so well in advance, I don't see a reason to spend on special delivery. They will reach their destinations in time.

It defies logic that they were not doing this before! Havent had my membership stuff yet, so will be interesting to see what that it like. Normally its a bunch of useless promo crap that i keep each year without looking at it and it takes up space on the bookshelf very glossy and professionally packaged full of great items so we shall see.
June 18, 200916 yr I'm cutting down as well: I've renewed my membership for just the tickets, not those bells and whistles in a welcome pack. Which I by the way didn't even receive last year, despite having paid for it :P Well, those dvd's and keyrings are junk anyway. The box in which it comes is usually very pretty, though, and my cats love playing with it.
June 18, 200916 yr One ticket, and one or two weeks later, when there are still tickets available, you can buy more. Problem is, if you have bought one ticket first, never ever you're going to get 2 seats together. So you have to wait until you can buy more simultaneously, with the risk you get in too late for them or get seats all the way up the West End. You can always ask someone to make his/her membership details available to you, so you can buy with 2 memberships. Then you'll sit together. Don't ask me though, after what happened when Nat used my membership (long story ;) )...
June 18, 200916 yr Val, ive spent almost an hour waiting in some virtual waiting room because of site maintainance on CFC, pissed off now and dont fancy going through it again. Tried calling the club , but , ah , 'Our office hours are ' rig marole .
June 18, 200916 yr Were you trying to apply for a membership? I don't think you need to be worried about the delay, as far as I know, there is no limit to the number of members they want to accept. As it happens, I received my card today, unbelievably quick!
