Tottenham Hotspur Could Face Points Penalty For Defoe Transfer To Portsmouth – Reports

According to various reports in the British press, the FA may further investigate the transfer of Jermain Defoe from Tottenham Hotspur to Portsmouth in January 2008 following suspicions that an unlicensed agent was involved.

It seems that the wrangle has occurred because Defoe's former agent, Sky Andrew, believes he was unjustly removed from the deal.

According to The Daily Mirror, a High Court judge on Friday ruled that Andrew can "obtain phone records for agent Stuart Peters and his associate, unlicensed agent Mitchell Thomas".

I think a 76-point deduction is in order.

and then the amount in minus they have left and the end of the season, should carry on to the next season, so they get relegated from the Championship too...

please let it happen, please let it happen, please let it happen, please let it happen, please let it happen, please let it happen, please let it happen, please let it happen, please let it happen, please let it happen, please let it happen, please let it happen, please let it happen, please let it happen, please let it happen, please let it happen, please let it happen, please let it happen, please let it happen.

Does anyone know the kind of penalty this might have? In all seriousness?

Im sure they will easily pay off a fine, but a transfer ban, with all the deadwood on their current roster, might just screw them for next season too.
