Seemingly Wolves are keen to take Mancienne back and have already offered $4million for him. However Ancelotti is more apt to send him on Loan for the season?

I really hope that this is false, especially when we are being rumoured with links to Bruno Alves. I see no point in signing Alves when we have 3 central defenders that are sure fire players, and Mancienne as back up. Why would we sign Alves and send MM out on loan?

I'd be happy if he went to Wolves on a season-long loan - he'd be getting regular Premiership football, something he won't get at Chelsea for quite a while (if at all). Hopefully Mancienne will do well at Wolves, and return to Chelsea's first team.

i agree, hes not had time in the prem yet (other than a few minutes with us) so it would be good to see how he fares. but i also hope we put a clause in so we can get him back should we have an injry crisis.

But if he goes to Wolves on loan, and Percy heads off to Inter, then we are left with only Terry, Alex and Ivan as 3 people fighting for 2 spots. Take one out through injury....which Terry has been prone to in past seasons, namely because of his never say die attitude, then I feel we would be weak at the beck, and I don't want to see Essien coming back to cover in the centre of defence.

Also, if we let him go on loan, and sell Percy then I can't help but feel all these links with Alves, Mexes, and whatever other CB that is out there will result in us signing a completely uneccessary player when we have Mancienne. Any signing in that role would be coming in as 4th choice anyway, so why loan out our 4th choice just to pay for another?

It would give him some valuable Premiership experience, but then the beauty of a loan is that if JT should get injured, we can immediately recall him.

Sadly, Carvalho seems very keen to move so if there is actually interest in Bruno Alves it'll be as a potential replacement for him. Shame, as he was our best defender before all of his injuries last year.

Maybe a loan for Mancienne wouldn't be the worst idea. He'd get first team football every week at Wolves which would be invaluable experience for him. Then again, don't want him getting a knock in confidence if they start shipping four goals every week!

totally agree- reckon we should do it, but stick an option to bring him back in jan. (or at any time if possible)
