Sorry if this uniteresting to the majority of Blues fans, but I just want to discuss my Club, the Mighty Leyton Orient, and thier prospects for the season.

Last season, we were in deep sh*te, in the relegation zone for long periods, players werent performing, and us, the fans, beginning to lose patience with Martin Ling. I personally felt he couldnt take the club further at the beginning of last season, especially as the first half of the 2007/2008 season we were well in the play off positions for a good few months, even top for a few weeks. then we began to lose are way, and we ended up finishing 14th that season.

Thankfully, Barry saw sense, and got rid of Ling when he did, the new manager, Geraint Williams, put a sense of enthusiasm into the team, and the players responded well on the pitch, and we managed to storm away from relagation in the end.

This season, we have got rid of alot of players, Adam Boyd has gone back to Hartlepool, Paul Terry, who was well past his best, was released, and a few other first teamers as well were also released. I am quite happy with the replacements we have brought in, Jimmy Smith is an exciting player, as well as our new powershouse centreback, Chorley, and our new strikeforce, Scrowcroft, Church, and Patulea, have looked pretty decent in pre-season. then theres our best player, Jason Demetriou, who will be our most important player this season.

I hoping for a promotion push, far fetched i know, however, I believe we can be a surprise package this season, and if we play well the way i know we can play, we will give the bigger teams in league one a run for their money this season.

Well I for one will be watching your results with interest. Never been to your place but for some reason I've always liked Leyton Orient probably because my mothers side of the family came from around there.

Tell you what woulkd be great was if we could draw each other in one of the cups. Be a great reason to meet up and have a sherbet or two

We havent done well of late in the cups, our last big run was in the FA cup that year we reached the 4th round after beating those lot down the road from yours, fulham, at the cottage, that was a brilliant day :)

Brisbane road is a nice little ground, im hoping Barry Hearn doesnt persist with this Olympic stadium move, would hate that, we can barley fill 9,000 every other week, let alone a 20,000 capacity stadium!

I have seen on other team boards an 'adopted' team for the year from another league or country, with their results being updated as the season progresses.

Maybe we could sticky this thread and Express could be our resident man to give us updates? Just a thought.
