sexelk Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 anelka set for talks http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11095_5488240,00.html Skysports.com understands Nicolas Anelka is to hold talks with Chelsea over a new deal at Stamford Bridge. The Blues have already tied down Didier Drogba and Florent Malouda to new contracts this summer and Anelka could be next in line. Anelka enjoyed his best season to date at Stamford Bridge last term scoring 19 goals and winning the Premier League Golden Boot in the process. The France international has two years to run on his current contract, but the player's agent, Doug Pingisi, has told skysports.com discussions are due to get under way about an extension. "I think we will be having talks with Chelsea next week about Nicolas' contract," Pingisi told skysports.com. "Nicolas has two years left on his present contract and I think Chelsea would like to extend it. "We plan to sit down and have talks with Chelsea about Nicolas' future." hopefully it's just to add another year on. fantastic player and a must starter at the minute. one of the best finishers around but i feel he will lose a lot when his pace starts to go
Mr Chelsea Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 hopefully he will get the deal wants and the new diamond formation works and he and drogba gel and score loads of goals
Oblivion Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 Tying down key players is good, lets hope its a one-year extension. I like the signals the club is letting out :(
High Street Ken Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 Let's hope the amazing technology behind the Milan Lab will help him to play at a high level for a long time.
Ant Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 (edited) This is great news for any chelsea fan - saves us some £ if we can tie our players down to new deals ! lets hope he has a good a seson as he did last season Edited August 13, 2009 by Ant
evissy Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 No new news on Anelka's possible contract talk just wanted to say that we really should give him a new contract. He's been very important for us this season. Both goals in CL and crucial goal against the dippers. Brilliant work Nico! He's not the best striker in the league but certainly in top ten. I'm glad we have him!
sexelk Posted October 6, 2009 Author Posted October 6, 2009 may not be the best overall striker but he is the best finisher. give him a chance and it usually nestles in the back of the net
le Parisien bleu Posted October 15, 2009 Posted October 15, 2009 Sign him up please! One of my favorite players :D
Guest d-vder Posted October 15, 2009 Posted October 15, 2009 may not be the best overall striker but he is the best finisher. give him a chance and it usually nestles in the back of the net I would agree he doesn't look the best, or the flashiest (Ronaldo) or the most stubborn (Rooney) or the strongest (Drogba), or the girliest (Torres) or even the tallest (Crouch) but you don't get the Golden Boot for nothing, especially when none of this goals last season were from the spot. :D
