He's half right and half wrong. Not everyone is blaming the manager, a frontpage of players with "HUMILIATED" in the times says enough. The fans were giving it to the players during the Algeria game so what does that tell him? They had not just become blameless after two languid performances. His judgements, saying that the players werent really in great form, are probably true enough, though he completely ignored Frank, Defoe and Milner who had great seasons, in making his point. The guy has mellowed alot in his "old age"

On the other hand, I dont know why he is sticking his oar in over this of all issues. I guess he of all people would know how an NT camp can become dysfunctional.

What he means is, they were unprofessional in actually turning up for the tournament. Really classy professionals turn their backs on the country because they don't think their manager's accent sounds right.

While I don't think it was 100% Capello's fault, under someone who had the foggiest idea how to run this England team, we would have done much better. It probably doesn't help that Capello's a massive prick either.
