Call Of Duty

Featured Replies

it seems that treyarch have gone about this game in a different way to the previous installments in the call of duty series. As someone who plays quite alot of call of duty i cannot wait for black ops to come out as i think it will be a breath of fresh air and wont frustrate me as mw2 failed to live up to the hype, although black ops may not live up to it,it certainly looks a good game.

I thought mw2 was quite poor, and far too short. I know it was made mainly with online gaming in mind but for someone who doesnt really go online too often I was very disappointed by it. Black Ops does look good though, maybe the COD rule of one good one, one sh*t one will still carry on.

For me CoD has been poor since Modern Warfare 1 because it was so good, multiplayer and single player. Now the multiplayer is just jammed pack with stupid killstreaks, there was nothing wrong with the 3 normal kill streaks in the first place.

I loved MW2 and am still going online to play for hours at a time. The main problem with the whole CoD series and MoH for that matter is the shortness of the single player campaigns. These games are meant to be enjoyed online and with friends, you cannot really enjoy the full experience without progressing trough the ranks. The problem I say there with the footage of black-ops, the mods they are showing off as coming from the community are in fact multilayer mods that were present in many old PC fps games (and I believe CS is the primary source and anyone who played MoH:AA played melee and pistols only mods online). Saying that and looking at the CoD series, when Infinity Ward is involved with the game, the results have always been above expectations, and I believe that Activision should stick with them in the future. Black-ops for me feels like CoD3 or CoD:WW, great games but somehow just feel more like expansions then stand alone games.

Personally i cant stand the multiplayer for mw2,the leaderboards littered with hackers, public matches usually just frustrate me as i cant 'run and gun' without someone to just shotgun my in the face with an overpowered AA-12 or Spas, and the fact that IW were too busy trying to get us excited for mw2 rather than making sure they deliver a game that should be described as the best game ever made, but no,they give us unbalanced killstreaks, ridiculous perks, hosy migrations were an appauling idea, boosters and a generally frustrating online experience. However like most others i cannot fault the campaign,it was brilliant however with IW basically dead i doubt their will be an ending to it which IMO is a great shame as i really enjoyed the sequal.

roll on black ops :P

I havent played multiplayer on COD since MW because it got ridiculously difficult to just pick up and jump in. It was aimed at people building up their online player and was rubbish for someone like me who just used to fancy a blast out with people around the same skill as me (someone not that good)

I'm like that, I didn't bother getting MW2, I stuck with COD4 because that's brilliant, but it's so annoying to jump into a game at say Level 10 paying against 6 people who're level 900million. Very irritating.

Really? I got it Nov/Dec and play it much more now than I did then. I'm not into those drawn out campaign games so just jump on the online multi-player, plus with the new map packs just released, it should be much bigger now without the same levels all the time.
