Hey everyone, just wondering if any of the locals could give me a bit of advice on reasonably cheap but good hotels around the Chelsea area, live in n.i so only get to around 4 or 5 games a year, previously I've stayed in Jurys Inn, Chelsea Hotel etc but was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for somewhere different, Thanks!!

You could try the Ibis at Earls Court or the Travelodge Fulham. Do not go to La Reserve, they have more poky rooms than good rooms, and it is not always spotlessly clean.

Whatever you do dont book a room at Royal Eagle Hotel up at bayswater.. I know its not that close to the bridge but not that far either just a 10mim taxi drive really.

sh*t rooms, sh*t breakfast, sh*t staff and nowhere to go if a fire would take place.. horrible!

3 star my arse.

I would recommend against the jurys inn chelsea - £100 but overpriced for what it is and in the middle of nowhere. If its location close to SB thats the issue what about the millennium. If you shop around in advance you can get some reasonable deals, great location, no transport fares to get to the bridge and all the Broadway facilities on your doorstep.

The Milennium Copthorne at Chelsea has several sister hotels around London. Last time I stayed at the one near High Street Kensington. It was cheaper than the one at Chelsea, but a bit tired, and I found the area a bit dull. Good connection to the ground though, IF the District Line is running....

Completey disagree about the Jurys.

It's hardly the middle of nowhere. About 10 mins walk from the Kings Rd, 10 mins to SB/FB. It's a clean, safeish, quiet area with a couple of decent pubs 2 mins away. Chelsea Ram 5 mins away. newish hotel, it's hardly the ritz but it's still very clean and tidy. Does the job perfectly.

Always well priced (remember this is London!) though I guess price can go up on matchdays. Even then it's far better value for money than the club hotels.

Yea I always liked the jury's inn too be fair, very clean and tidy hotel and the grub isn't bad either! I'd been told about that Chelsea harbour hotel but it is alot higher than what my budget will allow :) looks good though!
