Show a couple of Yanks a good time v Genk

Featured Replies

Ok, I know this is a long shot and I don't usually do this kind of thing. however, I know a few of you on here from match days and wated to ask a favour.

I have a couple of good friends, from the state of Washington who are travelling to England and France this month. They mentioned that they'd be in London at a certain time (I registered it as "during our match with Genk"). So i told them they should take in a Chelsea match if possible.

Well, it turns out that they'll be there during the Genk game. they could get MHL and Shed end tickets, or East Lower South. I told them, as tourists, to take the East Lower South. However....and this is where the plea comes. I'd love for them to experience a good Chelsea match day.

if anyone I know is on here and wouldn't mind showing a couple of very interested folks about for a beer, a song, and a game, please let me know.

Thank you, Shed Enders.

No one going to be about for a beer for them to at least be "shown the sights?"

Maybe that's why they could get a ticket so easily

Not sure if its still going ahead but last I heard people were boycotting the Genk game due to the costs of Champions League Group games this year, so it might not be the best game for them to go to. I'm sure their will still be circa 30k though

Let them fly over to Amsterdam

A Genk ticket will get you 8 loyalty points, that says something about the rush on tickets...

I see, thanks for the input. They'll be there anyway, it'd be rough on them if it doesn't go ahead...but I'm sure it will

Hi all !

Sorry to intervene in this topic, but I'm already quite excited about this fixture. It will be my second time at Stamford Bridge, first time in the away section! I was there in 1999 against Arse***.

Genk is my first passion in life, but it's closely followed by Chelsea. I became in love with The Blues during the 1994 FA Cup Final. I felt sorry for those men in blue, the same colours as my Genk. Since then I became passionate about Chelsea. So for me it is the most special match I can imagine. Who would have thought some 15 years ago that we would meet in the Champions League.

My mate shares the same passion about Genk and Chelsea. He was unable to get a ticket for the away section, so he'll buy a ticket on the door and sit between the Chelsea fans.

Anyway, we won't even have 1 % of winning and we'll be lucky to come away with less than 4 goals  But it'll be a good day out, we'll have some great atmosphere and I for one will be enjoying every minute of it. See you all at the Bridge!

I've been offered a free ticket and they are also on general sale at 4 per person on the website. Add to that there is an advert in the Hounslow Evening Chronicle (or somesuch rag) advertising tickets for sale, I think it's going to be a fairly quiet night!

Not shown on TV over here on any of the main channels either, luckily I have the + package and the xtra channels.

Hope they have a good time though, afraid it will be a bit quiet though!
