Confession: I've never played a TES game before. I used to spend all my time on RPGs growing up, the stereotypical grade-schooler who was obsessed with Final Fantasy games. However, from PS2 on I didn't do much in the way of RPG gaming (my former addiction to WoW but have been the main reason why).

That being said, I am super excited for this game to come out. I know a couple other people on the board will be getting this game, so I figured we should start a thread for advice, tips, and more.

Definitely getting this, had Oblivion and played it to death so really cant wait for Skyrim. I have never taken a day off work just for a game but I`m seriously thinking about doing it for this one.

First 5 minutes is Skyrim, looks brilliant,

Anyone know what kind of class they are going to make? I'm a bit lost (and a little overwhelmed to be honest) with what to start out as. I know this isn't a MMORPG, but in the ones I've played I tend to enjoy being a damage dealer, usually with magic. Is there something like that?

Yeah there is, you can specialize in magic and stuff or even an archer if you want to.

Im going to be a classic warrior in my first playthrough and put a few points in magic etc, you can mix it up quiet a bit in these games!

I checked out the previews for this... It looks amazing.

So many games, so little time.

Apparently there are no classes in this one. You level up according to what you do e.g. use magic and your magic skills grow, use blades and your blades skills grow. According to the official message board you don't choose a class or birth sign or anything

That's a a lot better then. No need to choose class and the ability to level every skill in the game. You could get to make the perfect character.

I hear this time there's werewolves too and apparently you can turn into one aswell. That would be interesting... Hopefully vampires are still present in the game too.

I read that too, sounds a very good system and means our character will level up more to suit how you play than previously. Really looking forward to this game now, even more so if theres werewolves, though vampires can bugger right off.

Just read they have had to work out a bug that had your character being chased by the town guards the instant you do a crime, even if they didnt see it. Turns out the chickens in the town were reporting crimes :laugh2:

Haha! Really cant wait for this game now, out this friday and will probably spend a lot of time on it during the weekend if I get some spare time!

*praying for rain*

Bloody good, why should you be able to play it when I cant. One more day to go..

That would do my head in too. My mates downloading it from Steam and its ready to go but wont download until tomorrow morning either.

Home from work, freezing outside and not feeling 100% so installing skyrim now, wonder how many hrs ill spend on it today haha
