We'll know that mentality is back if we beat Spuds tonight. Matter of fact it wouldn't surprise me if Terry scored a thumping header like he did against Burnley after the Perroncel story came out.

My concern is what some of the non-white players in the team might feel about this. Innocent until guilty and all that, but I'm not sure having you're captain charged with racially abusing someone is necessarily going to put a siege mentality into a player who has been on the end of such abuse during their career, which no doubt at one point or another some of those players have been.

Can you really see Spurs stewards reporting their own fans?

They will be looking for any excuse to stick the knife in at us... I am expecting some of our own to chant something and it getting leaked to the press.

Yeah I wondered this last year at the Bridge when there was a big fuss made over any songs abouts Y*** but there was no mention of any action being taken against and chants of 'rent boys' from the away end.

How strange....

Well, after that game, I would say some of the old attitude is there.

This Chelsea seems to thrive on being the underdog/facing adversity. Maybe its a good thing since this is a team in flux. But against Spuds and City it took a load of people doubting us and a putrid start for the team to pull their socks up and turn the tables.

I would add that if Arsenal had a fraction of the character our guys showed out there today, they wouldnt be going on seven years trophyless
