SHELLY got a reaction from Fansince65 in Super Frank Lampard
I'm chuffed, obviously our scatter gun managerial process is bound to make us all a bit nervous, and no one wants this to end badly.
Having said that I feel that Lampard understands the club, and crucially the owner in a way other managers simply didn't get. We know it will be a challenge and he won't be able to make new signings, but this could be a positive thing. We have a great youth team and there'll be none of that, "well you got your signings, now we expect results" mind set.
I know he's inexperienced as a manager but he is not inexperienced when it comes to the unique challenges of CFC. I fully expect him to be better than AVB, Scolari and Sarri. Hazard going is huge loss obviously, but I hope the fans don't turn on him if we have a dodgy season.
I'd be happy to settle for a few years of failure if we actually start to build something. Welcome back Frank, let the West Ham triggering commence.

While the season has had many ups and downs I feel like it all worked out well in the end. Sure we lost a final and had some humiliation throughout but we finished above Arsenal & Spurs and we won a European trophy.
Looking at our rivals City won the league which was fine because it stopped Liverpool winning it. City did foil us in the league cup which was unfortunate but we put in one hell of a performance and knocked out Liverpool & Spurs along the way. They went on to win a domestic treble no shame in losing to the best side in the country by a mile on pens.
While Liverpool won the CL we all know the one they wanted evaded them yet again despite getting a record breaking 97 points.
Arsenal collapsed massively after looking to have top 4 secured. What did they need like a point? And best of all they completely disappeared in the EL final against us.
Lastly there’s Spurs who went from Title challengers at a point in the season to complete collapse only finishing top four thanks to Arsenal’s collapse. Then of course they made the CL final and completely blew it against a Liverpool sore that weren’t at the races.
In the Championship it was wonderful to see Leeds f**k up again not only bottling top 2 to Norwich (C) & Sheff Utd. Leeds also then bottled the playoffs losing to Super Frank's Derby 4-2 in the semi final 2nd leg. Even after beating them 3 times that season and been 2-0 ahead on aggregate they blew it with Derby beating them 4-2 at home.
Unfortunately Derby couldn’t win in the final but it was another set of blues John Terry & Tammy Abraham that we’re celebrating as Aston Villa got promoted.
In the end I feel like it’s all been a terrific end to the season.

Got to admire Anthony Joshua "taking one for the team" ... he's knocked Liverpool straight off the top of the sports headlines in a matter of minutes ... LOL

Well that went better than I expected I must say. Brilliant second half from us, and a very fitting send off for Hazard. I so glad Cech is coming home next season he stopped them from getting a proper thrashing last night. When that 4th goal went in I nearly spilled my wine.
Just a word on Ozil, I think Winston Bogarde was more industrious than him when sitting on our bench. I'm feeling very happy this morning.

I have to tell myself I don't begrudge it, to stay sane. As I posted earlier I hope both sets of fans disgrace themselves, and both managers have a punch up on the touchline which then spreads to the players and both clubs get lifetime bans from Europe.
    Well I can dream can't I.

I feel great, and while I know I shouldn't listen to fans of other clubs, who denigrate us for being a chaotic, mad house of a club. I love that we seem to thrive on chaos and still keep winning things.

truly this season has been beyond logic sometimes ... in march 10th, cfc were 6th and battered six nil vs city. 3 months later, cfc claim a 6th european trophy and secured 3rd place and a UCL spot for next season. that's chelsea for you : showing up to the occassion, and playing counter attack football to win big things. overall, a league cup final, UCL footy and the 2nd most successful english team in european football history. Not so bad for a club with no history ? ! Also, cfc have 5 to 6 times more (depends if you count the supercup) european trophies than le arse. and twice as much euro trophies than tottenham. Whether those mugs win or not, cfc will remain the first london club and english club to have won all european trophies and the first in london to have won the UCL. Say whatever you want, but despite not having as much history as others, cfc have a tendency to accumulate trophies lately (3 european trophies in the 2010's). I guess it ain't that bad for a club, according to sky sports and co, which has supposedly gone through crisis week in week out. Probably the only club in the world to have so much sihte thrown at it and still managing to clinch silverware eventually. A good thing imo as this club seems eager to win through adversity.

I can take great solace in Arsenal and Liverpool going on an absolute meltdown if Spurs do win, which won't happen anyway.

AFTV was so much for to watch, they just f* lost it, laughed when DT reckon Cech should have done better to save the first goal, without Cech they'd be done by Half time, what a bunch of C*. Cech deserves better, come home big man.

Fantastic win and a great way to conclude the season.
Absolutely delighted for our players and manager on producing a magnificent performance against a major rival. It's great that Sarri has broken his drought and finally has a trophy next to his name. It's a big monkey off his back and going forward it will only give more confidence and belief that he can have further success as a manager.
I'm not going to lie, I was highly critical of Sarri back in February and wanted him gone but he's been able to steady the ship by getting us a top 4 spot and winning the Europa League. I think weighing everything up, he easily receives a pass mark and is worthy of another season if he wishes to stay with us.
Feels bittersweet hearing Hazard say he's most likely leaving this summer, and if this is the end, then I have nothing but gratitude for what he's produced for us in the last seven years. It's been a joy to watch him grow and have success with us. I think Chelsea will always be in his heart no matter what.
Great night and depriving Arsenal of a CL spot is the icing on the cake.
