Hi i hate man u with a passion but you have to admire sir alex {cant believe im saying this }.

In his first season with a dressing room that stunk of alcohol and big time players that ran the club, from the dressing room.He finished second in the league .the following year he started to put his mark on the club by bringing in his own disipline taking charge of the dressing room and getting slowly rid of the players that ran the club ie mcgrath robson whiteside. In that second year he finished 11th in the league not good but united stuck with him and the plan for the future.

now it is hard to lok back at there success but you cannot argue with his trophies his undying love for man u his desire to always win at any cost .

AVB his first season takes over from ancellotti with a dressing room that ok isnt alcohol ridden but is running the club the likes of terry drogs lampard and cech are the man u equivalant of 86 87 88 united the old boys club.the untouchables you cant drop me im mr cfc .i know this season is so hard to take and i am dare i say embarrassed at the minute when we lose at home or cant beat wigan.but i truly believe in avb why because he is making tough decisions dropping lamps who is so past his best it is cringe worthy.all the doom merchants want avb out but look at his purchases so far and tell me there is 1 bad one.mata, oriel, lukaku meireles and others.other than ramires there isnt a player at chelsea playing better than avb signings which reminds me of ferguson when he started to put his mark on utd.I know things are different now and you have to make the top four or your not seen as a success.i do believe we have had no luck this year at all plus i wish people would get off luiz back i think he takes the brunt of the stick because we darent criticise king john but for me the problem is john terry i love him he is mr cfc but hes done.if you look at most of the stupid goals we have conceded this year he has been part of it.

Please have faith in avb look what might happen if we stick with 1 guy 1 philosophy and 1 long term plan.I know its hard but i will take a bad year to see his plan take fruition.

I am just back from the pub after a few pints and this still reads bad.

  • Did Fergie take this long to get somewhat sorted?
  • Did he have to use all his subs in every game for no apparent reason?
  • We have been unlucky, but lets be honest - we have gotten off with some poor decisions in our favour as well which has saved our bacon (penalties etc!!!)
  • Terry can still do the job, he is NOT past it as others would have you believe
  • Lamps does seem past it, sadly. Far too slow and not infuencial enough. His replacement in Merieles is no superstar though :(
  • Lukaku looks awful so far, too early to tell, but he looks anything but ready for the premier league
  • Luiz is awful as a centre back, he's a liability
  • Please use commas
  • I realise I am a grumpy, cheeky c**t.

SAF has the knack of tweaking with his team without major disruptions to Utd's march towards any of the trophies. He doesn't make major alterations that effect the overall efficiency and style of play thereby results are consistently achieved...something he has learned over the years that may well be a lesson for AVB with the assumption that he remains in place.

Good points and I agree that he is making some good signings and tough decisions. I just hope the club stands by him

Although I won't deny he's a good manager, I always feel Ferguson's achievements are often overblown.

Man U got a massive investment that enabled them to expand their capacity so it was the largest club ground, coupled with a city with a low club density and for the best part of 15 years, they could outspend everyone. Every time a club has spent big and built a new, fresh team, they've taken the title from Man U. It's just Man U have had the ability to spend consistently, whilst building on a solid base whereas other clubs (including us) have spent big initially then cut back on the spending for the next few seasons.

Yeah, but he's had a long time to keep making small changes to the squad and not having to completely revamp the squad. In the long term, I'd hope AVB would be able to do the same.
