Now that Hazard has signed officially I feel I wouldn't be jinxing anything by asking what you guys think his squad number will be?

Not a major topic or one of any importance really, but for me I like associating numbers to players and am curious because I feel Hazard will be a future star and face of Chelsea.

I see him with the number 20 personally, no valid reason for that thought, just a guess.

To be honest I didn't even consider it because I've gotten so used to Drogba with it and even after his announcement I figured it would take somebody who could legitimately fill his shoes.

Actually hazard prefers to play in behibd the striker, I believe him and Mata will keep on switching lw and cam during the games.

Good points, it's just a number and don't agree with any player giving up their existing numbers or that any player has a right to a particular number

One thing though, CRonaldo actually wears 7 for Real Madrid (He swapped after the first season when Raul left)

I don't like the idea of existing senior squad members being stripped of their numbers. If they volunteer to change, great. But I don't think it should be forced upon them; especially by a new signing who's yet to play for Chelsea.

I'm assuming Marin will/did take his usual #13. If Romeu wanted to give up 6, and Mikel wanted to take it, then great....give Hulk #12 (assuming he does, in fact, sign for us). But again, I don't think either Romeu or Mikel should be forced to change. If not, Hulk could take 11, 14, 17, or 21. Same for Hazard.

I can see Hazard getting #11. Mata shouldn't be forced to swap numbers with ANYONE. Even if it were Messi. That goes for Mikel and,everyone else aswell unless they request the change themselves, kind of like when Paulo gave #20 to Deco when we signed him.

If Hulk signs I think he'd get to pick from 14, 17, 21 onwards...I think Marin took/will take 13.
